Bryan B. Morrison

Hello Everyone. I've been writing prose, mainly consisting of stories from my life with only the names changed. I've been busy writing songs too, and the only trouble with that is it takes a while to learn the songs for performance, but mustn't grumble! I'm sticking with the Morrison name too. A certain local clergyman joked upon the altar that some people don't know their own names (HA HA HA) last year. Well, you pay your money and you make your choice, or you don't bother anymore.... Had enough of his show anyway. He had pointed out to me around that time that it was wrong to try and humiliate someone, not that I would've done Fr Pat.

Hi Everyone. I'd just like to let you know that the song Bryan Bernard Morrison is going to be available to buy on iTunes on February the 14th. I hope there will be some interest in the song, which quotes from the Steve Miller Band's song Rockin'Me, and also references The Beatles and Joni Mitchell. If the song does well I'll release more material. That's the plan, so I'll appreciate your support.

It has been a busy year, and I've played in various parts of this great city, London, and in Paris, and in Guildford.
I'd love to be able to play in the town of my birth, Sunderland, but it's cold up there at this time of year, so I think I'll wait until the spring.
Rockin' the new name since the end of last year.
I start recording material for a new album Recovery Stories in January, and looking forward to working with Felix Mackintosh at Tigersonic Studio.

Hello everyone. Happy new year to you!
I have a few items of news to tell: my new album will be available on cd from later this week. It is called What It Is...
Other news is that I have changed my surname to Morrissey, which was our original family-name. It is something I have been thinking about for years. The name reflects the families Irish roots. I lived in Ireland for about 15 years in my teens and twenties, though I was born in England. My mother was Irish, born in Cork city, and my father had Irish roots though he was born in England too. I hope that the change of name will not be too confusing. I haven't changed the name on the n1m site yet. Please bear with me. Love, Bryan.

Hello Everyone,

This week I've been planning a new recording, an album of 11 songs, with friend and producer David Gilhooly. I've made a rough recording of the songs, just acoustic guitar and voice, which I'll send to David, and we plan to make the proper recording over a weekend at the end of October. I don't know what I'll call it yet, but I've got an idea for some artwork to accompany it. I think the new recording will sound a little different from the last one as my playing style and voice have changed a bit over the 10 years since 2005. We might include some other instruments too, but I hope it will sound just as spontaneous as last time.

Dear subscribers and, dare I say, fans,
it is good to know that you took an interest in my music. The list seems to cover most of the states in the USA and other countries around the world too.
Currently I'm rehearsing with our band The Gnarly Ones for a music festival gig here in England in the summer. I'm also learning some classical guitar and alto-saxophone, which is good fun too.
I hope you like what you've heard so far, and I'll try to keep in touch.
