Spring has sprung!
Well, Spring has sprung here in south central Pennsylvania, happy Easter to all of you sincerely hoping you had a wonderful weekend. If you don't celebrate Easter, hope you had a great weekend anyway. My apologies for the long duration between posts. I have been working through some health issues and late winter projects around here.
I have to say I am very pleased with the espouse to " Mrs Jones"',reaching number 1 in Pennsylvania and the the USA on the blues charts so soon after I posted it is beyond my wildest dreams! The song was a labor of love and I drew on my experiences and the experiences of a few friends who spent years playing in the bars along Main Street and East Hastings in downtown Vancouver back in the 1970's. There were some extremely dedicated musicians working in some great blues bands in some pretty seedy bars. The bars of course we're populated with desperadoes, hookers, pimps, sidewalk commandos, local residents, and ocassionaly on weekends,a Mrs Jones or two would show up. High class ladies from the wealthier sections of Vancouver, out for a night doing what was called at the time "slumming". So there was always a cast of thousands you know, from Les from all walks of life and the places would get pretty lively by midnight.
So anyhow, just wanted to take a moment to thanks you all for following my songs, really appreciated. "Talkin Louisiann" is going into its 26th week of international release, being played in full rotation on 434 stations worldwide and " Just One Tender Kiss" is going into its 53rd week, over a year now and still in full rotation on 200 stations world wide. Thanks to everyone who is helping those tunes along. I invite you all to drop by my webpage, www.cameronmolloymusic.com and say hello, it would be great to hear from you. Cheers, C
