Slow Train Keep on Runnin'
YES YES YES... The second the guitar started this became a song I wanted to listen to again and again. Something classic with influences of The Who or The Kinks, perhaps. Yet with enough of a modern touch to make it something interesting, current and fun. I wasn't sure the vocals were a good match for this song, yet as the song plays, they're a beautiful match to the great production. Excellent song. 2nd song of '17 I've given 5* to. MORE please.

A Great Future
Driven electric guitar begins with a strong repeating riff. Powerful bass joins immediately, then a perfectly locked drummer and finally the Singer. This is as if introducing the Players and it absolutely builds the intro. The lyrics: "Slow train's runnin', It's runnin' down the one way track - It's so funny, funny that there's no way back Watch the pitcher, watch it break upon the floor - Makes you hunger, Makes you want a little more 'Cause you and me, 'Cause you and me, Can't you see, Baby, please, won't you set me free? Will you let me be me?" These are compelling words that can be understood in different ways depending on the listener. This is art - to be interpreted according to the listener's experience and interest. Every successful song is a creative work of art. The instrumental intro is repeated as part of the theme then the lyrics continue: "Slow train's runnin', Runnin' down a one way track - It's so funny, funny that there's no way back Try to tell you everything and more - Makes me wonder what I'm still here for" The Vocalist builds and carries to a new high while being supported by the band. Everything builds then is brought back down to the instrumental theme provided by the intro. This small segment is the hook. This is what will bring the audience to attention as they will recognize the song from the very beginning guitar riff. The song never becomes repetitive as there is an alternate part that is introduced toward the middle as the Singer asks again: "Can't you see what we can be if we just talk and bare our souls.?" Powerful words in a strong voice asking an important question. This is a great song performed by excellent musicians who deeply understand the style of Rock. This is a most successful work and sure to become a favorite of fans.

Review - Lightside - Slow Trian
Good Song my brothers! Well written, Great Arrangement, Good uses of dynamics throughout the song too. I like the lead singers voice, a few times in a few places it sound like he should belted it out a little more than he did but other than that Good Gravy. Sounds like good potential indeed. I give this song a 5 star rating. You guys know what a good song is and how to write one. Tip: I would take the time to review the vocal track (solo) and cut out the Breaths you take before the verses then create a (fade in) back into to the audio track so there is no popping/clicking. This will clean up the vocal track nicely. Right On Guys, Make More. Break a Leg! Del Leon --- I try hard to be genuine with these reviews. if you find this review helpful, please click on (both) helpful and signature. also... * Check into A=432Hz *

Slow Train: A very promising debut combining rock & Pop
A debut where you are surprised by the clear style. Lightside seems already to have found a tune for the future. They combine the classic rock guitarr with the good direct pop tunes. Listen and look forward to the next one!

This is the 2nd song I have reviewed by this band. I love this style of music especially when it is so we'll written ,compossed , preformed and recorded. I am just blowed away with how good this band Lightside is. I'm going to try and find more of their music to listen too!

I Liked it
I like the intro and the way it starts out nice and strong, climbing up with the dynamics. The breaks are spot on....but ~ here it comes. No guitar solo at the bridge. What happen'd at the 2 minute mark, man? You left me hanging there. The song seemed to fall on it's face in my head. I was waiting for it and it never came, so I waited a little longer and I heard a little guitar thing in the back ground, but it would have made up for it if it kicked it some on the vamp going out. Please re-do it with an overdub guitar and send it to me again. I'd like to hear it again with some guitar 'balls' mixed in it. ~ Gizzmow, Bonham, Texas

Love The Track... But!
Intro guitar is very catchy, loose the B3 in the chorus! You guys were like The Clash, I was diggin' it, until the B3! Needs stronger harmonies, chorus lyrics, weak, rythming every 2nd or 3rd word, a little pedestrian! Otherwise, song has great potential!

Very cool sound surrounding my ears...
Very cool sound is surrounding my ears due to the guitar riff swirling around and around with a cool effect. I like the acoustic guitars and the organ very much. The voice is beautiful and fits well to the song. This is real good production, song writing works good with all parts tied up to a whole tight track. This is how a song should be to get airplays on the radio. Good work, keep it up!

Great track
Really enjoyed the vocals and the rhythms on this song. I was playing it and my partner thought it was already a hit - so that's gotta be good! Thank you. Was really interested to listen to the lyrics too - there was a story there.

Lontoo review
Among more than 40 songs that I have reviewed yet so far, heartily speaking this song I have listed in my own chat no 3th. From beginning till the end the composition with melody and that of music is terribly perfect. The most the music tunes I liked the most. The only the thing is the vocal should be raised with the power at some point. Besides I enjoyed listening to this song repeatedly, and this song has future. Best of luck and cheers!!

Nice groove
Catchy intro riff. Pretty well produced, too. Feel like the vocals need to do a little more, and the lyrics are perhaps a little straightforward. However it's a nice easy litening tune that I can imagine on a film score, maybe? Pretty good song on the whole, and makes me want to hear more from these guys! Nice guitar work toward the end, with a nice groove. Good work!

Great song
Love the tone on the guitars, vocals are clear and driven. Big thing missing for me is the heavy drum beat this song seems to really pine for. A good hot snare with a touch of reverb like John Bonham sound would actually make the music more effective because it places everything in context and balances a strong driving song like this in just a right way. If you recorded this with drums, please try a remix and turn that snare up hot.. That's just my take, thanks.
