Not often I hear new music with the core four elements that float my boast, but Inner Light takes the prize today.. well done, I enjoyed this. My only peeve is that I'd like to hear the lyrics more clearly, I had to strain to catch them. 1 Imagination & creativity in the songwriting 2 High standard of musicianship and production 3 Singing worthy of the name 4 It's own 'stank' ~ in other words, an original personality This music covered all four elements really well, good work!! Birmingham's quite the music town too...I toured with the Moody Blues, Brummies one and all, and they treated me like a prince. I also did some singing with Ruby Turner many moons ago, she's awesome, mostly works with Jools Holland now, lucky bugger. And I enjoyed paying th NEC in Birmingham a couple of times, great music venue. All the best to you !

The song Inner Light has a touch of the rock-pop songs of the 90s, to my mind came immediately the bands like Aha or George Michael. I think, for nowadays, the production would have to me a bit more modern to really allow the song to fly high in the charts. The voice of the singer is very beautiful and during the song i understood better the melody. Right at the beginning of the song, it seems a bit out of tune but I understood it's on purpose.

One of the things I enjoy most about Number One Music artists is the newfound ability to hear music from around the world by singers who I'd never have the chance to listen to otherwise. That, in itself, is a great thing. Here, with this song we're getting a great guitar intro which is expertly paired with drums to get us going. Vocally, sounds good, but the level for vocals seems nearly equal to the instruments and I'd like the levels to be just a bit higher to showcase Carl a bit more. Overall smoothly produced. Nice work!

Well constucted track with a dark beginning good lyrics and a punchy beat which moves it swiftly on to a good chorus hook The whole track is well constucted with good message and lyrics that transends the beat and makes you listen the vocals could have a little more light and shade to them but its a small thing in an otherwise very compitant well executed song nice One !

This is nice song but You must cut off the intro and be good if You put Power and Energy in to the vocal part as It is now is ok to Perform life but Music Publishers do not like to hear intro..make a version for Them and also for Radio play.. as You know Main Radio do not play longer than 3.5 min ( for commercial reasons )..so put some work in to and nake It a Great song and after send It to Them..let's see what They will say ( is Very Hard to please Then and who know what They are looking for )..I wish You good luck with submissions..Good Job..

I like Your song but some work has to be done..First The Intro is to long and 2nd put More Energy in to The Vocal Part also is a good idea to keep it below 3.5 min long because very rear Main Radio Stations will use longer songs..Music Publishers are very hard to please and Your song is not ready for Them Yet..remember You have ONLY 10 sec to "catch" Theirs Ear so make sure that Material You send Out is The Best of You..I wish You good luck with submissions.. It is a nice song but if I be You I will take out the intro is to long and song will be better without..You know that to catch The Ear of Music Publisher You have max 10 sec so go to the core..is ok to be perform life ..is not important do I like or not ..They I mean Radio Stations and Music Publishers have the Last Word .I like It but something tells me that They will reject ( as It is now ) so make some changes and after that send to Them..I wish You good luck with submissions..You did good job so far..

Nice Job Fun too ! This is a nice sharing of passionate original Music and honest writing. The chordal structure is nice and the groove is driving... My suggestions: ( Honest and hopefully helpful to you as a producer) The Song is victim of always the same force driving it. A very good rule; ALWAYS give yourself somewhere to go. Canción potente muy bien interpretada tanto instrumental como vocal, la melodía no está mal, aunque es un poco típica o ya oída, canción que aunque nunca la había escuchado antes, me suena como si la hubiera escuchado. No se si esto es bueno o malo. En definitiva canción que se puede disfrutar, sin complejos, se puede bailar y es divertida, aunque un poco vista. Mi puntuación es un tres coma cinco.

I’ve selected Inner Light as the best of my choices to review. It is an extremely well done recording. The upbeat rhythm is reminiscent of the New Wave sound of the eighties (sounds like the Plimsouls, a band highlighted in Nicholas Cage’s first film Valley Girl). I look forward to hearing more from Carl!
