He's always been one of my favorites. I'm glad he is feeling better and getting out and about again. These days I am a blues host on WNIJ-FM in DeKalb, IL. I started at WNIJ-FM in January, 2018. Prior, I hosted Sunday Morning Blues on WKGL-FM in Rockford. After a 6 year run, the show ended last November,2017 when corporate cut all blues programming. I have been broadcasting the blues in the Rockford area since 1987. I first met Carl many years ago when he came to Rockford as part of the Sons of Blues with Billy Branch. I got see him back then at one of the first Blues of Fox festivals in Aurora, just him and his guitar, a small PA on the street. It was almost a Maxwell Street moment. It was very cool.
