About Casey Fogg
With an easy going stage charisma and a natural charm that draws audiences in and has made some of Australia's biggest rock stars blush, Casey Fogg has been described as “...magnetic on stage.”
With her don't quit attitude and sassy style, self-taught guitarist Casey is certainly starting to make her mark on the music scene. After humble beginnings, singing in her first covers band at just 19 years old Casey has now worked with numerous covers and original artists across Australia. With her original pop/rock tunes, Brisbane born artist Casey has already opened for some of the best in the biz including the likes of The Superjesus, former Australian Idol finalist Dan England and Daryl Braithwaite. After working with artist start-up program Fretfest she also scored a spot at Woodford Folk Festival in 2009. With her easy likability, versatile song stylings and warm tone it's not hard to see why this songstress is popular amongst venues, her fellow musicians and crowds alike.
Casey's songs have often had her likened to “...a female version of Life House”, while others say “...you remind me of Amy Lee” or Killing Heidi. She is also commonly compared to her idol, acoustic rocker Alanis Morrisette. All high praise to this modest singer, however Casey doesn't like to compare herself to any one artist and her style is still very much her own. Audiences clearly agree. With her diverse song style and vocals a fan recently said “...it was almost like watching two different artists...” and it was decidedly a good thing.
Casey is now promoting her debut, self-written pop/rock album Bleeding Hearts. Co-produced independently in Brisbane by Fogg, Bleeding Hearts is the culmination of several years of hard work. With much love for the project, many talented musicians donated their skills to its production including members of Brisbane’s ever popular Butterfly Effect. The result is a mix of cool, radio friendly pop/rock tracks as well as darker, more emotional rock songs really showing Casey’s diversity as a song writer. The album, released April 2014 in Darwin has so far taken positive reviews. Darwin’s 104.1 Territory FM, who earn about 30% of Darwin listeners, sponsored the launch and the album received immediate airplay.
After a year living and promoting her music in Darwin Casey is now back in Brisbane promoting the album and performing to her home crowd. With very few female rock releases these days Casey Fogg is a name to look out for!
