a beautiful voice with a beautiful language sings "un seule geste". The text and song are very touching. Harmonically kept simple and yet exciting and refreshing to listen to, definitely more than once. The instrumentation and the arrangement run "country" in style and flow. The sound and mix are coherent, not obtrusive, everything well audible in frequency and arrangement and yet never dominant. The beautiful voice of Cathi Varna comes through at every point and radiates harmony and lightness and joy. All in all, a solidly produced song that you can, should, must listen to more than once.

I have to confess I absolutely adore every aspect of this song from your stunning vocals to the production of the music to even having this amazing country vibe to the music. Overall all I want to say to you is you have done a magnificent job and you should be very proud of yourself!

Country pop in this one.. Good production.. Cathy Varna has a quite good voice . I think the tune is quite catchy even though I don't understand a lot of French.. So nothing to say about the lyrics. But good song in my opinion

Let me begin by letting you know how I will be addressing your song. I review from a commercial standpoint…..which is to say how would your composition fair if you were trying to place your song with a publishing firm? The other alternative would be from you as artist. If that were the case then one either likes or dislikes what you have produced. That is not my agenda as I stated earlier. A really nice sounding song. Production is well done....singing is good... structure is good....Overall a professional presentation. Je ne parle François. So I can not address the lyrics. The only thing I do notice is there is audible compression on the track and it makes the song "pump" which may be the intention. If it were me I might consider addressing that issue and possibly re-mixing with lower compression levels. Again a very nice and well laid out song. Keep writing! RW

The production here works very well. The vocal is excellently mixed and easy to understand. Harmonies work very well and contribute niccely to an overall good feeling that pervades the whole song I would love to be able to hear the bass more but that's how it is listening on a computer. perhaps keeping that in mind and raising the levels of the high mid on the bass might make for a better feel but the song is great.

Upbeat tempo keeps my toe tapping! The steal guitar slides really add a great depth to the arrangement. I feel it gives the song a happy feel. Could crossover to a Country Rock or Rock n Roll category. Nice!

First of all I must say that I unfortunately don´t understand the french language. I think the title "Un seul geste" means something like " A single movement". But having that said, I still get a good feeling listening to this song. It´s an uncomplicated arrangement but right out of the songwriting book. It got some nice melodi lines. My personal opinion is that this recording could however deserve a better mix and sound. But over all a sweet piece and by the way also very radio friendly. All the best -Kris

From the first note, it is Country & Western. I expected to hear vocal with some C&W accents and something like "Country Road." Guess what, it is French! Wow, I am pleasantly surprised by this somewhat unusual combination. It is very nice to listen to this piece as a French Pops tune, however, not really so as a Country and Western one. Maybe because I do not really associate French with C&W in my narrow-minded perception. Anyway, I enjoyed your voice as always do, Cathy.

I really enjoyed your song. Although my French is not good enough to understand the nuances of the song I really liked the "Country" style accompaniment. I imagine it would be for the Canadian audience mainly. It has real bouncy beat and the background musicians are very accomplished. Perhaps a bit more intonation is needed in the vocals to bring out the inner feeling but the pitch is spot on. The lead guitar might be pumped up a little to add some heat. All in all an excellent recording.
