And about the lyrics (translated to English), the songtext is about jealousy, about a partner who is not true, taking other lovers. So the pain is compared with yellow fever. Very nicely done, the instrument are complementing one another, giving you a bed and cushion of rhythm and harmony to lay you voice down . I must say I enjoyed this arrangement and jazz version of Nous Etions Deux very much, great job and the emotional content in your vocal performance was beautifully evident.

There are at least a few good artist to discover and I believe Cathy Varna is one of them. This jazzy waltz is really refreshing to listen to. Guess it also could fit well in the European MGP contest. Its a strong arrangement and the song got some very appealing melody lines. Further I really appreciate the acoustic sound of this track. It would be great to be able to listen to this artist live some time. I guess when this pandemi is over we will get the chance to once again be able to visit different venues and go to concerts. A nice slow jazz waltz but probably a little too repetitive for me however jazz seems to be like that. Has 70's feel of this genre backing could be a little louder but overall sounds real good. I could play this more and more and could get used to it. PC

This jazz piece with french pop flavor goes along with a glass of chilled white wine very nicely. I feel quite nostalgic, for this reminds me of Francis Lai. I played his french pops gems a lot back in the 1970s. Cathy's song is with much more emotion and dynamics than those of Francis Lai, which makes it better fits to dry white wine. I recommend Chablis to open. C'est si bon, Cathy!

Especially in certain genres of music I am not all that familiar with concerning very important elements that make up and meet the required standards to justify the various levels of ratings and grades. So, in saying ALL that, I will limit myself to MY Opinion concerning the quality of the work according to My ears, and the standards I have been familiarized with thru-out the years. I hold to the old - saying " Beauty Is In The EAR of The Beholder ... LOL. The sound quality of the recording over-all is very crisp and bright and clear, I really enjoyed the emotion and energy in this song.Think about a music solo break to step away from vocals for a short period in future works. Vocals are smooth and natural, sort of - down to earth as they say, and extremely peaceful. The mix levels let me know who was still in charge of this song. Very easy to sit back and listen to. I mean no offense in any part, I myself take all feedback and use it as a tool toward my next project. I pray you feel the same way. Either way, I say to you, keep doing what you do, keep kicking and enjoying what you do. I tell folks all the time for many years. When it stops being FUN, then it's time to stop, and stand back and think about what we are doing, why we are doing it, how we are doing it, what we and others are getting out it. The version has a very special strength, in which the voice stands out impressively, but the musical performance is very good. The trumpet solo mute is very sensual. The sound in general and the mix are quite good. I congratulate you for a very good job.

The song has impressed me deeply much. I really like the cool bass intro followed from piano influenced by blues with patterns of jazz music. Great brass section brings additionally power into the song and is an extra factor for me. Sounds really beautiful together and creates a great space in the backings. Cathy Varna with her unique dynamic voice and brilliant vocal projection make this wonderful composition complete. The dramatical passion of the lyrics come from the heart and make the meaning of the song engaging for me. Mixing and mastering is brilliant in appropriation of jazz music style and versatile instrumentation, professionell orchestrated with perfect drums and virtuos trumpet solo.
