"A En Melanger Les Cieux", by Cathy Varna is a beautiful song that really shows her vocal abilities. The steady melody provided by the piano and orchestra sounds provides a great background that fits well with the overall production. I do not understand the words as I am not bilingual, but great music can be felt without understanding the lyrics.

Cathy has a very soothing voice and though I don't speak French, her Music touchies me in more ways than one way. I hope people get the chance to hear what this beautiful singer has to say to the world...

Great studio recording where the accompaining piano really stand out. The gentle string ensemble in the backround makes the song complete. The romantic passion of the lyrics comes from the heart and touches the soul. Cathy Varna sings with her unique voice and distinctive vocal projektion about love and a mixture in the sky. Perfect composition influenced by ballad with classical music elements in perfect orchestration. I can feel the meaning of this wonderful song regardless of the language.

Ciao Cathy :) I love this classic sound, I was trying to find the lyrics to follow them better (my Franch is a bit rusty). Your voice is angelic and I can hear that singing has been your profession for years. It's an old-school singing that sound "very French" to me..I love it! The song is well arranged, in a traditional way, but well arranged. The only thing I would suggest here is to give the singing some breath in order to grow dynamic. I feel that dynamic is the only thing that is missing. Tres bien Cathy ! :)

Nice piano in the intro.. The vocal that comes in over the intro is a bit misplaced in my opionion.. When the song starts it's much better.. Nice tune.. welll produced and well performed. Great French voice :) I'm sure she will sell :)

Beautiful voice and very expressive approach to your vocal. Unfortunately I do not speak French but the mood is VERY clear. The musical arrangement is excellent as well. Very enjoyable to listen to!

Lovely melody of a song. The vocalist was sincere and sounds like an artiste within the big times. The fusion of musical instruments complements the melody greatly. The composition was justified with the mode switch at times to grab the verses. Such music would be heard in a movie or film settings. Really like this song and hope to hear it over the radio wave.

From the very first few bars I was enticed by a lovely and uplifting chord progression and relaxing piano ostinato with strings! Cathy starts with vulnerability in her voice but as the song progresses she increases with power and confidence. Probably closely related to the French lyrics, which I don't understand but it doesn't matter. :-) At the key change near the middle we are given a powerful new cello countermelody. The lyrics I do understand around the last third are "Attend, Attend, je t'aimerais" which I believe means "Listen, Listen, I will love you". Here voice became very emotional at this section and appropriately so! Cathy's delivery reminds me of a French Enya or Celine Dion or Whitney Houston, but in the mezzo-soprano register! Would have given this 5 except for a vocal editing splice glitch near the beginning and a very minor vocal mouth noise at the end. These can easily be fixed and a new file uploaded! Especially in certain genres of music I am not all that familiar with concerning very important elements that make up and meet the required standards to justify the various levels of ratings and grades. So, in saying ALL that, I will limit myself to MY Opinion concerning the quality of the work according to My ears, and the standards I have been familiarized with thru-out the years. I hold to the old - saying " Beauty Is In The EAR of The Beholder ... LOL. BEAUTIFUL - The sound quality of the recording over-all is very crisp and bright and clear, I really enjoyed the message in this song.Think about a music solo break to step away from vocals for a short period in future works. Vocals are smooth and natural, sort of - down to earth as they say, and extremely peaceful. The mix levels let me know who was still in charge of this song. Very easy to sit back and listen to. I mean no offense in any part, I myself take all feedback and use it as a tool toward my next project. I pray you feel the same way. Either way, I say to you, keep doing what you do, keep kicking and enjoying what you do. I tell folks all the time for many years. When it stops being FUN, then it's time to stop, and stand back and think about what we are doing, why we are doing it, how we are doing it, what we and others are getting out it. This romantic song is very melancholic and intense at the same time. The structure of the song is particular, because it seems a ballad, but not exactly. This is a kind of a modern melò. The voice is strong.
