David Stephen co-founded the CCM-Forgiven Band and ministry with Mark Burton in 1996 after the 1994 death of his daughter Genny, when he wrote the song "With Me". In 2009, his oldest son Tony took his own life, and then he wrote "Measure of Faith" which led to the band recording the "Listen My Children" CD. His youngest son, Tedd, first played the drums with the Forgiven Band when he was eleven. Off and on throughout the 19 year Ministry,Tedd has played percussion and drums. He was also a part of the recording project when the band recorded their "By Request" CD. Forgiven band member Jim Whitaker wrote a song for Tedd this past February when Tedd was hospitalized and for severe alcohol abuse and withdrawal. Jim and David Stephen then made a video for Tedd with a scratch track of this new song dedicated to Tedd. On March 10th, while still recovering from his illness and depression, Tedd also took his own life. The Forgiven Band wishes to share the video and song to celebrate the life of Tedd and have added it to the NumberOne Music Site.
