CCM-Forgiven

David Stephen co-founded the CCM-Forgiven Band and ministry with Mark Burton in 1996 after the 1994 death of his daughter Genny, when he wrote the song "With Me". In 2009, his oldest son Tony took his own life, and then he wrote "Measure of Faith" which led to the band recording the "Listen My Children" CD.

His youngest son, Tedd, first played the drums with the Forgiven Band when he was eleven. Off and on throughout the 19 year Ministry,Tedd has played percussion and drums. He was also a part of the recording project when the band recorded their "By Request" CD. Forgiven band member Jim Whitaker wrote a song for Tedd this past February when Tedd was hospitalized and for severe alcohol abuse and withdrawal. Jim and David Stephen then made a video for Tedd with a scratch track of this new song dedicated to Tedd. On March 10th, while still recovering from his illness and depression, Tedd also took his own life.

The Forgiven Band wishes to share the video and song to celebrate the life of Tedd and have added it to the NumberOne Music Site.

We have not written in a while - sorry! Things happen in our lives which affect our personal goals and plans, but those trials serve to strengthen us and our faith. Remember that everything that is good comes from the Father. So take time to give Him thanks for the blessings and for the trials. Yes, it is an odd concept, and it is hard to "count it all joy", but to all who believe in Him, everything works out for our good. Always.

Now that we are in the Lenten season, it means the Passion/Palm Sunday will be here soon. Our fourth CD titled "The Passion of the Christ" is somewhat unusual in that, the majority of the CD is a narrator reading from the Gospel of Luke and after each reading there is a song about that passage. It is quite unique. So this time of year we often reflect about that CD.

Hello to family, friends and fans of CCM-Forgiven!

Our genuine thanks to all of you for listening to our songs posted on the (expired link) site. Twice this last month one of our songs (Cancion de Salvacion, and King of Kings) made it to the top 20 songs for all genres- for a short period of time (several were in the top 50 for all genres). It is our hope that you are blessed and uplifted listening to our music, as the goal of our ministry is to "Share God's Love Through Music."

As of today, we surpassed 1175 fans on the website. We are both pleased and grateful for your support! You are a very big blessing to our ministry. I would like to ask each of our fans to play King of Kings and Cancion de Salvacion this week. This would push the songs into the top of the charts for all genres and give our band more exposure.

To those of you sending emails of encouragement and support to the band, THANK YOU! We all are very encouraged and it is the highlight of the month to read your emails.

We are getting close to completing our sixth CD project. We have just a few more vocal parts to get recorded in the studio. We are planning to release at least 12 songs on this project.

Hello, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to the family, friends, and fans of CCM-Forgiven!

We are very thankful for ALL of you!

In a few days we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. It is the mission of our band to "Share God's Love Through Music" and to let you know that God loves you. Take some time to reflect on the blessings that God has given to you, and most important of all, the gift of His Son.

David Stephen has been in the studio working on the band's next recording project. This week we add another new song to our site "Psalm 100-We Are God's People".
It is the band's hope that this new music will lift your spirits and allow you to celebrate the Love of God.

A BIG Thank You for those fans who sent us messages/emails of encouragement, prayers, or just comments about liking the music of our Forgiven group. The Apostle Paul said that we should give thanks in all things, and we thank the Father for all of our fans on (expired link).

This month we added a song to our site from a compilation CD that David Stephen put together and produced in 2000, titled "The Way", written by Paul Ruckle and Steven Roby. This is a song the band often plays in concert, but never appeared on any of our regular CDs.

This is the month to give Thanks to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We hope that you have a great Thanksgiving, and we thank you for helping us to "Share God's Love Through Music." Last week our band added two songs to our N1M site, "Listen My Children" our original Christmas song recorded on our latest CD also named Listen My Children, and "Do You Hear the Lord Talk to You?" that won an award in national music contest in 1998, which is one we share on our site as one of our "vintage Forgiven" songs on the site. Also, a few weeks ago, we added "Peace and Faith" also labeled a "Christmas" song, which was recorded by David Stephen about a year ago.

We are thankful to those of you who have written personal messages in support of our band and ministry. It really makes our day! We love to hear from you. Thank you for your prayers of support.

Greetings to the fans of CCM-Forgiven, may the Lord bless you and your family.

We are a few days late in releasing this month's news about the CCM-Forgiven band, it has been a busy time for everyone.

Recently, one of the band members ran a half marathon in Hawaii, while at the same time another band member's mother was moved into hospice and then went home to join the Lord. Just goes to prove that at any given time, there can be great joy in victory, and great sorrow in the passing of a family member. In both situations the same Lord is there.

This month we have posted a new song to the N1M site that was released in 2012 - named Peace and Faith. Since many stores in the US have started to make space and sell items for Christmas, we thought we would join the fun.

Also, we apologize that a lot of our material was not available for download. We misread the instructions on the site, so we are now making most of the material available for you to download.

The band is very pleased that you have signed up as a fan. Please share our music with family and friends. We are grateful to you for making our music popular on the N1M site.

Love your babies, love your parents. Hold them close and be thankful for them.

Hello to our special fans of CCM-Forgiven. We thank God for you and ask Him to bless you and give you His peace. Our ministry is to "Share God's Love Through Music."h

We have updated our N1M site with some "Vintage" Forgiven songs from our 1st CD - Come as You Are released in 1999, and also added a few more from our 3rd CD - Simple Soul released in 2003. For our older fans, you might enjoy "The Cry of the Watchman" which has somewhat of a Moody Blues feel. Also, "Teach Learning" featuring Tom Knapp as the lead singer, which is a little reminiscent of the Doors vocals and style. "With Me" has also been added to our Music Listing - this song written by co-founder David Stephen after the death of his daughter Genevieve in 1993, was the song that founded our music ministry. It has a special place in the hearts of our band.

Also, CCM-Forgiven announces the release of the single "Guiding Light" sung by Victor Zamora & David Stephen. Victor authored the lyrics for "I Will Sing This Praise" (posted on our site), and he had desired to write and record a CD. Guiding Light was the only song he was able to record the vocals before his death from cancer. Victor had a beautiful tenor voice, was a humble and kind man, and sang with several members of the band at church.
