LOOKING BACK A BIT ON THE MIGHTY FINE TIMES!

UP FOR CAREER AKADEMIA INTERNATIONAL LEGACY AWARD

Many thanks to Peter Yarrow of Peter, Paul & Mary for his involvement as a judge in the just completed International Peace Song competition. "A Bright Tomorrow," my pure song all about goodness, was runner-up a climate change anthem in my country category.

On the personal side, it has been one year since I was released from the hospital and ALL IS GOOD with NO RECURRING COLON CANCER.

Thank you all for your kind words. Lord willing, I've got lots of creativity left in me, music and arts, with a new EckerRobertsArt "fancy doodle" project now distributed through Redbubbledotcom and Society6dotcom. Here's a sample:

It was a record setting 52 weeks for me (Charlie Ecker - Songwriter) on the Reverbnation Sarasota County Country charts! And during that time ending this past week, I hit #2 Florida twice ending the streak in the Tampa-St. Petersburg Top 10.

Great to have such fan support for such a long time although the greatest news was to survive a difficult surgery the first week of January to remove two cancerous (stage 2) sections of my colon with two surgeons operating nearly independently over the four hour ordeal. God was looking over me as I almost paid a fatal price for previously ignoring calls to have a colonoscopy.

Now I will be continuing to work on my music adding to the three that have been posted on N1M Music since I moved from LA just over one year ago!

Thought it might be appropriate for my first newsletter post on N1M to start the new decade with a new duet, "Your Smile Says it All," which is now on my playlist. I originally wrote this as a wedding present for Linda and was played live during our first dance. Sweet memories!

Happy to report that "Your Smile Says it All" has gotten a great initial response over at Reverbnation where I am listed as a songwriter as well. In fact it began a run as one of the "Top 10 New Country Songs" beginning for the mid-December reporting period running through the middle of January.

And I have been listed on RN at #1 for Sarasota Country (my new home) straight through since April 1st, two weeks after moving to Florida, with a two week spotlight in December at #1 for Florida. All good in my neighborhood!

So I will be adding additional songs to my N1M playlist in the coming weeks, all available, BTW, for downloading on iTunes,Amazon and cdBaby among others around the world, under thecreckerband
