SINGER/SONGWRITER TOOLKIT
With the changing face of the music industry, I have noticed the ever increasing need for support for fellow independent singer/songwriters who have to navigate their way through the change process. Some have seriously considered walking away from music and taking up some other job to get by with the impact it has had on their ability to earn a decent living from their music. Sone have turned to other means of earning in addition to staying creative and. Buckling down to writing new material and self recording in the confines of their homes in readiness for when things get a little better and they are able to go back out on the big stage. I too have chosen the latter. This inany cases has had an impact on people'sental health and confidence in their music profession. I would encourage anyone who is doubting themselves or feeling isolated to find someone to talk to. On line, video calls, or just go out into the fresh air with your guitar if you are privileged enough to be able to play one... Sit on a park bench and sing and play your songs.. Or on the top of an open space and sing out loud to your hearts content... Do. Something that makes you happy, watch comedies and laugh out loud, develop a healthy prayer life, attend zoom jam sessions and have fun with that.. Explore the various income streams that your talents and general skills could be used for but don't give up your music. It will onlyakemyou feel unfulfilled.. Keep creating, write about your journey, video journal... Write about your experiences and lessons learned... You just don't know who your journey will inspire to keep going, do better, be better, not give up, make valuable life changes in the midst of a storm. I'm routing for you my fellow creatives... Go get you some!!!!! And above all, share the love and support and encourage each other as you encourage and be kind to yourself.. Most of all.... God bless and keep you and bring you much blessings and success..
