The Message
This tune grabs hold of you on the first beat, the message is what it is all about. The lead work and all the fills are right in there where they need to be, the vocal is strong and very impressive. Good tune!

Great Combination of several styles of Music
This tune has several styles of music Blues, country and Gospel and even a little old school country style of Patsy Cline it could be listened to when looking for inspiration also kind of a uplifting Blues tune telling you that you have the Lord who is there when you need someone to care, for me it sounds like a Hit that should already be out there in success !

Solid Blues!
Taking The Time by Chaser is a straight up 6/8 blues. Nice heartfelt lyric, delivered pretty well by a female vocal. Can't say I found her exceptional, but she sang with feeling and sold it well. Loved the sax! Nice choice for embellishment. The record was a bit weak in overall sound. Everything sounded like it was center stage. A remix, moving some of the accompanying instruments to the left or right in the soundfield would make it sweeter. I would then have it mastered to really make it shine. Overall, another good song from Chaser, that just needs a lil' post work. Best of luck! DW

Reminiscent of Willie
This song is so reminiscent of Willie Nelson - which is a good thing. The song has depth and a soulful melody sung well and with plenty of feeling. I always rate this kind of style - shows true writing ability. Kind regards Johnny Ramone of Angel International Management (UK)

Taking The Time (And I'm glad I did)
Liked it from the first bar that was played. The song and the track got better as the song progressed. This is a nice combo of Gospel and Blues that displays a song with strong emotion in the lyrics. The melody is a pretty standard Blues genre but the vocal was probably the best I have heard of your work so far. The production was really well crafted and mixed and the instruments were very appropriate for the style of delivery that was presented. From the musicians to the vocalist, everyone was in a solid musical groove. Even though this song may have sounded like other Blues songs, this rendition and offering was one I could listen to a lot. Nicely done. I wish you the best with this one.

One of Your Best
This song really has a "live" feel to it. you can imagine yourself right there standing in front of a stage in a smokey room. The mood is set just right. Everything works just right in this song. The singer (whose voice I recognize from your other tracks) really is suited for this style really well and her voice works nicely with this style. The minor imperfections actually make it work better and work in keeping it real. The verb was perfect on this. And doing it in mono made the vocals blend even better, I think. I found the song to be very believeable and a nice blend of country and blues. Amazing how you got the sax to work in this without standing out like a sore thumb, but it fits in quite well. Very nice work here! One of your best.

Traditional, Bluesy Country!!!!
If you are a fan of traditional bluesy country music you must give this tune a listen! This tune really took me back! I love the sax solos. Excellent guitar work and I think I even heard a taste of the pedal steel. If I had to criticize anything ( and I'm being picky here) there are a couple of vocal passages that sound a little flat. That is not necessarily a bad thing. Sometimes I think it actually makes the music more believable. In this age of samplers and autotune it's nice to hear a tune as it was recorded. No control room magic needed! All in all, I wish more music coming out of Nashville sounded like this! There is a saying amongst many studio musicians..."Same song, different hat." I don't think that's the case here. I for one, look forward to hearing more from chaser!

taking the time for "taking the time"
The vocals are my favourite in this composition. It's certainly a catchy tune...slow and easy and relaxing. I am inspired by the saxophone solo...a reflection of the easy going...even lazy ambiance created within this song. The recording quality is definitely up to a very professional quality and I think many would enjoy this song...regardless of their tastes..be it blues or country or cross-over etc. It's a pleasant song with extra smoooooth vocals to enjoy and relax to as mentioned before. I would listen to this to relax and I'm sure that a live rendition of this would emphasis the relaxing nature emanating from this great wall of eazzzzy lazzzzy music.
