Chasing Silence, formed in 2006 from Carroll IA, is an energetic modern rock/metal band infusing influences from the Rock, Metalcore, and even punk rock genres. Chasing Silence believes that everything in life has a song for it, So they write about whatever they feel, naot necessarily sticking to one theme. Chasing Silence's music is known to have catchy choruses and brutal breakdowns that will surely make the crowd want to move or even sing along. They are a crazy outgoing group of guys that want to put on a great show for their fans, while having a blast doing so and doing what they love.

In 2011, Chasing Silence's single, "Breaking Me", took the local scene by storm. It's theme, standing up for what you believe in and not letting anybody take you down, is one that just about anyone can relate to in some way. After being recorded and fully mastered, it has had lots of radio plays to help promote the band. "Breaking Me" can be found on Itunes, Amazon, Rhapsody, and many other digital music outlets.
