Hello Blues Lovers, It's been a while since our last news letter. The Chris Canas Band has been busy writing and playing. Look for new music on our site soon. A video will be posted tonight with new music as well. The CCB won the regional Blues competition in Michigan and will be heading to Memphis, TN in January 2015 for the International Blues Challenge. This will be our fourth opportunity and we're hoping to go all the way. Previously we have always been in the semi-finals. We have some new additions to the band this year. Greg Sauceda went on tour with Harper & The Midwest Kind and Michael Scott stepped up to the drummer position. Greg opted out of the 2 year tour and is returning to The CCB. Soooooo, We now have 2 drummers. Cool, eh? Shane Rasmussen, who has played the keys for a few years, went on hiatus for family obligations. We were without the keys for a while and then Chris Nordman stepped in on the keys and piano. We have played some nice venues and festivals and hope to cross paths with you soon.
