Yup, that's what happens when you live in Chicago, one of the coldest cities in the US! The other day we had 17.9 *C, but the poor people in Delhi suffered in 2.6*C, I read recently and South Australia even rivaled us with 0*C! Then you're glad you're not somewhere in Oymyakon, Russia!
So I hope you guys stay warm wherever you are and don't make me jealous by vacationing somewhere in Mexico or South Africa!
Thank you so much again for all your support over the last couple of months and all your wonderful e-mails! I hope your "slide" into the new year went well! (In Germany you say "Guten Rutsch!") I was at a Mexican party and we had a blast!
Aren't Mexican parties the best? We expected to sing karaoke, but then they changed their mind. It was probably better that way because I would have pooped the party with my droopy ballads...
On January 16th I was on the radio for the first time on a show called "Celebefex" that is being broadcast on 9 different channels all over the US, Canada and Germany with my first album "Lana Seven: 101,5". Check me out on i-tunes!!!!
Then I had a few auditions and got a callback from San Francisco! Surprise, surprise, just when you don't expect it...
Now in February I'm planning on recording a few songs with my friend Paula and getting a few live gigs with my pianist Richard, he's a sweetheart! I'm planning on travelling to Phoenix to see my friend Tye and his wife and check out the Grand Canyon and also pay a visit to my friend Chava in Michigan and my friend Juan in Madrid! It's supposed to be a great year! Cheers to everybody!

Hi all you awesome people,
I know it's been a while, sorry for the silence, didn't mean to let ya down...just been very busy. First of all: Thanks for sticking around even in the cold weather! And of course always thanks for all the sweet e-mails and all your support! I'm glad you like the new songs that I downloaded! I'm still working on getting my latest album streaming... in the meantime if you can't wait it out any longer, feel free to check out my website at (expired link)!
Also I've been listening some tapes from 3 years ago ('Tapes? Really? What century do you live in?') recorded by me and a former student --really awesome tunes (!) which I am planning on putting on CD in early spring.
Lately I've become the female singer of a local Motown Cover Band called "Charles & Company" (check out their website) and we're playing out almost every weekend. We're also looking forward to including some originals into our repertoire in the near future!
Honestly it's been a real challenge keeping my voice in shape with the weather these days. Mostly I walk around like a mummy bundled up like it's minus 30 degrees outside (Lol). I don't know about you guys, but if the cold stops you from being creative have some chai latte! Also if your CD-burner doesn't burn your CDs fast enough, just buy a "Multiple-CD-Burner"! Get your music out there!

Hello beautiful people!
First of all I'd like to thank you all for the encouraging e-mails that you've sent me over the last few months! I'm so grateful to have you in my life, you are a true gift on my path of creativity! Your belief in me helps me believe in myself and if a day does not go so well I think of you and I still keep going no matter what! (Now enough of the sappy stuff...no but seriously: it means a lot!)
I hope you had a wonderful summer! And had the chance to go to the beach at least once... and been creative!
If you didn't notice I just uploaded 2 more songs!
My trip to Spain inspired me to write 3 more because my friend who lives there is one of the most gifted poets I've ever met! The first one is about my trip back from Spain, second one is actually written in my mother language which I have not written anything in in a very long time! The last one I wrote for a friend who complained that he's never gotten a song from me, so I had to make up for it!
As terrifyingly cold Chicago can become during the winter (no kidding, you have you wear a scarf over your face otherwise it freezes off!), as unbearably hot it gets in summer! So of course right by the end of July the A/C in my car died...:-( I drove around with my head hanging out the window and still felt like a boiled egg. But now it's fixed again, right in time for the season to change...:-)
My friends in Madrid and Berlin inspired me to join the Green party, so now I'm a volunteer and instead of 4 people we're 5. Hey, something has to be done about this beautiful planet, right?
I also decided to help a bunch of immigrants to learn English and get their green cards because when I heard about the camps I was quite shocked...
So, by the end of the year, my new album should finally be finished! I hope you like the 2 new songs that I uploaded and don't have too much trouble with the transition into fall (I personally like the colored leaves!)

Hello lovely people!

How y' all doing? Fine I hope! It's been a while...
I'm back from my trip to Berlin where I met some nice people, street artists, musicians, activists (the housing situation in Berlin is kind of difficult right now :-( ).
I also got to visit my family and performed at a few different places... Currently I'm working with a friend in Spain on some music. Hopefully this summer I will get to finish my latest album and then I'll download it right away so you can listen to it! (Promise!)

Here it's still raining but hopefully the sun will soon come out...
