Happy 2025 and Happy Heart Day. . .
It’s 2025! Wait! What? How’d that happen???
It seems like just yesterday we were worried about what computers were going to do at 12:01 link. on January 1, 2000. Does anyone else feel like, especially with the pandemic years, that we are in some kind of time warp? I sure do. But here we are, 2025. Happy NEW Year! Happy Heart Day!
2024 was a strange year, and went by in a flash. Didn’t do any writing or performing in 2024, but that is all changing for 2025. I have a new band, Harmony Lane, and I am letting all the lyrics I have in my head start to percolate. Plus, I have a number of songs that have been mostly written that are just waiting to be recorded. Music is the universal language, and my way to send messages out to the world. So here we go. 2025, the resurgence of Christine VanHoy music.
I hope all of you are hangin’ in and hangin’ on in these crazy times. We need to make sure we are all spreading love and kindness everywhere, and doing our best to be an Everyday Hero.
Musically yours, always. . .
Christine
PS – Attaching my latest release, “Again.” An oldie but goodie. I hope you like it. CVH

Happy 2024
Happy 2024 everyone. I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season.
It’s been awhile since I’ve written to y’all. Let’s just say the last few years have been a bit crazy. I do want to thank all of you who took time to connect with me on N1M and comment on my music. That means more than you could possibly know. And it’s definitely motivating.
Today I am writing to let you know about my new single release, “Nothing Left.” It’s a deeply heartfelt song, written for someone who was going through a bad time. Something I’m sure we have all felt at some point. And with this world being so topsy-turvy these days, I think the lyrics speak to that as well. However, as you will hear at the end, there is always hope.
My wish for you all is that 2024 is good to you, musically magical, you find peace of mind, and spread kindness everywhere. Please let me know, if you have a few seconds, how you like the song. Like I said, it means a lot to hear from you.
Musically yours,
Christine

Update from Christine VanHoy . . .
It’s Christmas Eve Eve, and we are almost ready for the visit from the big guy, my favorite Spirit, Santa Claus. He embodies, love, peace, kindness, magic, hope, and giving. I love this time of year. A time filled with holidays for everyone, and a chance to reflect on the past year, and start hoping for the new year to come.
While it hasn’t been a great year, it certainly has been an improvement over 2020. Whiskey Pass actually got to play live, and man did that feel good. Steven, Matt and I are headed into 2022 with new bandmates (Patrick and Phil), new songs, and the desire to keep playing and entertaining as many people as possible.
Go to link to see our schedule, and we hope to see y’all at one of our shows.
On another note, this time of year is also when the nominations come out for the Independent Music Network annual awards. I am happy to announce that I have been nominated for three awards:
Favorite Single "What If You Did" Christine VanHoy
Favorite Female Artist Christine VanHoy
Entertainer of the Year Christine VanHoy
Keep your fingers crossed for me.
More new music coming from me in 2022, so keep an eye out for those announcements. And make sure you watch for Whiskey Pass shows coming up.
I hope your holiday season has been filled with all good things, the coming year is wonderful, and you take every chance you can to spread the love, be kind, and keep music in your heart.

Hello to all my musical friends out there. I hope you are all doing as well as possible in these crazy times of ours. It's so hard to look at or read the news these days, and I find myself constantly searching for the good in every day. Happily for me, I find that in my family, friends, and of course, the music.
Not much news from me, although I am working on a coupIe of new songs, I just wanted to touch base with y'all, to say hello, send my best wishes for a great day, a wonderful fall, and a blessed holiday season.

Hello All,
I don't know about you, but I went into 2021 cautiously. As anxious as I was to leave 2020 behind, I knew all the craziness wasn't going to stop at midnight on December 31st. And it didn't. And we're still dealing with this insane virus that has closed up all live entertainment, at least where I live it's still not allowed.
Keeping my fingers crossed for it to work itself out soon, so we can all get back to living full lives, and getting to see live music again. I have attached my most recent single release, because I need to hear the message myself - what if you did? Sometimes we second guess ourselves when we should just do it. Especially now.
But I did get some wonderful news recently, so 2021 does have some bright spots. My single "What Gives Me the Right" won best Country Single for 2020 and Inspirational Song of the Year 2020 for Independent Music Network's annual awards. So cool.
Be safe everyone. Take care of yourselves, and thank you for listening.

Hello All,
I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and are looking forward to a great Holiday Season, even with all the craziness in the world. Make it great.
Please check out my new single release, "What If You Did." It's my hope that it inspires you to do something that might scare you. I've always found that if I'm afraid to do something, then I know it's something I really need to do. Not always easy, and doesn't always happen, but I do find myself asking myself, "what if you did?"
Take care, be safe, and let the music take you away . . .
Christine

Today, June 9, 2020 marks the release date of my new single "What Gives Me the Right." A song for these crazy times, and all the time. My hope is that it helps us to think about how we think about others and other's situations.
I want to thank my co-writer Rob Matson, not only for the co-write, but also for doing the mixing and mastering of many tracks coming in from different places (all the vocals were done in my bedroom closet). And a big thank you to Smith Curry in Nashville and his band of merry musicians for all the amazing instrumental tracks. So much great music to choose from. To my Whiskey Pass bandmates, Jim Goodkind and Steven Gregory for all their helpful musical thoughts and ideas that helped round out the song. And a special thank you to my amazing granddaughter Lyric, who did background vocals for me, a first for her, and she was great. And to my husband Bob, who was with me every step of the way on this, and had such great insights for the song, I love you, and I love that we do this together.
It takes a village to make a song come to life, and in this case a virtual village due to sheltering in place. Thank goodness for digital.
All the best to all of you. I hope you are all safe and healthy.
Musically yours,
Christine

It's the holidays again. I'm not sure where this year has gone, but it sure has gone FAST. Whiskey Pass will be celebrating the holidays at the Cats Tavern and Restaurant on Friday Dec. 20, 2019, 8 - 11pm. We'll also be celebrating our lead guitarist Jim's birthday - moving into a new decade. It would be great to see any of my local N1M friends at the gig, so we can raise a glass and celebrate.
THANK YOU to every single one of you for supporting me and my music. I love hearing from you, and I want you to know I am currently working on two new songs that should be out in January 2020. My wish to you all is for a joyous holiday season and a VERY happy new year. Let's make 2020 ROCK!!

Hello to all my friends at N1M. I hope your holiday season is going merrily along. May all the blessings of the holiday season find you, and bring you joy. And I hope you'll take time to find a way to be an Everyday Hero for someone around you that may be less fortunate.
And if you have a chance, I hope you'll take a listen and enjoy my two Christmas songs: Night Is Falling is my original song, and was written for my Mom, who was all things Christmas. And Mary Did You Know, is a favorite, so I had to record that one. :0)
Cheers to a wonderful holiday season and Happy New Year.

Today marks day #1 of our push promotion of Christine VanHoy's new single release "Everyday Hero" featuring Whiskey Pass bandmates Steven Gregory (duet vocals) and Jim Goodkind on lead guitar. This song is already climbing the Charts on the Independent Music Network, and came in last week (after 3 weeks on the chart) at #10. It is posted here, N1M, and if you're interested in purchasing it, go to CDBaby.
I hope you like it, and tell all your friends, and maybe even request it on your favorite Country Radio station. It's available to Radio on Airplay Access. :0) Have a GREAT holiday season all!
Musically yours, Christine

2018 Is FLYING By!!
It’s hard to believe that it’s already Spring, and Summer is just around the corner. And between trips to Nashville to write, and a family vacation doing an Alaska Inland Passage cruise, there are a bunch of great gigs coming up with my band Whiskey Pass, a whole lot of new songs for the band, and some guest musicians. It’s all good.
I have added a song today called "Butterfly Girl." In this day and age of women, and really so many people, being afraid to be who they are, I think this song will help inspire people to FLY. I hope so anyway.
I have also had two of my songs chosen to be on two different compilation CDs:
"Love Me" was chosen to be part of: WOA Entertainment To Launch Goa Chillout Zone Vol. 8, With 100% Sales Percentage For Animal Welfare Check out the Goa Chillout Zone for yourself at link and find out what all the noise is about. The album will also be available on iTunes.
"What I Live For" chosen to be on: WOA Entertainment Announces Upcoming Launch of Mainstream Compilation Independent No.1's Vol.8, and I am one of the featured artists on this CD. It will also be available soon on iTunes. To find out more about the Independent No.1's compilation visit link and link
