A New Song
There are many other areas of Ministry that Chuck or ”Junior” as most of his new friends now call him. He has now started reaching out to the Youth through the “Solid Rock” it is a completely different genre of music for me "Classic Christian Rock" hey it might even be a whole new category or genre of Gospel music! Of course "The Singing Evangelist" is mainstream Southern/Country/bluegrass gospel, because of stereotyping… but it just so happens; however he has always been one to operate out of the norm therefore the “Solid Rock” took on a new group name and label.
Why do such a thing? You may ask, ”The Lord I truly believe gave me these particular songs geared towards the youth. More and more venues are asking us for a more contemporary style (even most Churches we sing at nowadays want more of a "Praise and Worship" style, or "format" or is it program?) God has allowed me and blessed me with the right equipment along with the words and music to a "Baker's Dozen" (13 songs in all) that make up the "Solid Rock" together with a follow-up project which will be my first "Praise and Worship" CD. With songs such as "Open the eyes of my heart" Light of the World" God of Wonders" Awesome God" 14 songs will grace this "Cover Song Project" (songs written and previously recorded by other Artists)
