Rooted along the coastal highways of California, bathed in golden sun rays and scented with ocean air, the music of Circle Of Trees is a fresh take on classic 1970’s California Rock. With warm woody tones, their laid back style allows the songs and the players shine through.
 
In the studio or on stage, Circle Of Trees (COT) is all about moments in time. It was in one of those moments that founding members Brett Mikels (vocals and guitar) and Jeff Dean (bass) ushered this philosophy into the studio with veteran drummer Mike Baird and emerged with far more than a handful of tracks, there now existed a sound and a vibe that only happens when things click and that intangible magic occurs. 
 
Recorded by veteran engineer Greg Edenfield and further sweetened by Chris Trujillo; percussion, David Zeman; keyboards and with Steve Skaggs, Jason Orme, and Jordan Cade on background vocals. Steve Skaggs has since become an official COT member. His voice and guitar blend seamlessly from years of playing and writing music with Mikels and Dean.  
 
Everyone who’s heard these tracks responds deeply to the vibe they embody. With these songs in your ears, you’re suddenly driving down PCH with the top down and the radio playing a sound you can only describe as, home.
