About CJ Chartrand
I mostly play in churches for services and events. It is great to share music this way. I get a lot of enjoyment out of it. I will go to a church and play for services, sacraments, and events. I try to go when called. I believe that call comes by divine intervention somehow. So it is not good to say no. Otherwise I don't grow spiritually.
This forum N1M place to put music up is great! I am sure there are others, but I found the one first. It offers me a place to see what people think about the music.
Ultimately I hope that you really enjoy what I have to offer you. I hope that perhaps
you feel what I felt when I wrote the music. It also gives me a way to leave a record
of what I contribute during my lifetime, or that of some of my dear friends. I lost a friend a few years back, we wrote a song together called, Dear God. I do hope to
post that tune one of these days. It will be one of Steve's legacies, and I think he would be very happy if I did that. It has been like a trademark tune for me.
I have some friends we hang out in a garage. Yep the original Garage Band. I play bass and sing backing vocals on a lot of old rock tunes by some of your favorites. We have had a few gigs a couple that I got, and a few pig roasts another bandmate and dear friend booked through his work for several years. We have been together for maybe more than 20 years.
I have played music for many years in a lot of different configurations. I had my share of local clubs playing acoustic music. I studied music and classical guitar when I was younger. I started out playing for my mother who is a wonderful singer. People love to here her still to this day.
In my spare time I work hard in service to others cleaning, teaching fitness, music ministry at my local VA for chapel services. I love to run every chance I get. Music is
just my life and I have to go to great lengths to bring what I can, to you. Sometimes I feel stretched very thin. However, I love this life, and I am grateful for every aspect of it, but especially to my creator for the ability to do this, and perhaps to you for the strength that encouragement brings. I hope you will help to bring out the music within me.
