Now I've finished the first Symphony I've got a new project on the go which couldn't be more different. I was recently looking through some notes I made in the Nineties and I found a collection of country songs I wrote but never recorded. By a strange coincidence I had just heard Brian Eno's version of the Johnny Cash/June Carter Cash classic Ring of Fire. Even with Eno's treatment it was still obviously a country song and this led me to start thinking sideways - how else could I arrange these country songs so they would fit in with all my other work and yet still retain their authenticity? This is going to take some thinking about so until I've made some progress I'll just be posting occasional tracks from some earlier albums and maybe some unpublished stuff from the Eighties that give an idea of what to expect.
