About Cliff Carr
Robyn y Glas, (RyGbard), Real name, Cliff Carr, (also known as Chuck). Completed and Championed his Bardship of Avebury for 5 years where he served the pagan and Druid communities with his own songs, poems and Blessings, by attending the free and open gorsedd of bards. Handfastings, baby naming's, Passovers and other occasions and ceremonies which he was invited to attend over the said time in and around Avebury, (Caer Abiri).
He was finally challenged for the seat and humbly passed over the chair on Mayday 2013 to a new bard after being voted against and for the new bard to prove his worth over the next year and a day.
This is not though the end of Cliff's bardic duty or path. It is merely a new page for him that gives him licence to work within other circles around the country where he can share his music to a wider audience within the communities and be inspired by new inspirations from his travels.
Cliff wrote his first album, "My Journey around Caer Abiri", Which evolved from his first year and a day as the bard of Avebury, (2008 - 2009), where he written about the area and the celebrations of the said place, with the moods and the seasons of the planet, the inspiring sunrises, and the ever changing fazes of the moon.
The first song on the album, "seven years of the stag", was challenged to him on Ostara by Gordon Rymes, (Cernunnos), and performed on Beltane 2008.
He then proceeded to write about the area and incorporated the significance's of the surrounding monuments and neolithic structures by asking you to "walk with me". He hopes that you, "Enjoy his journey!" on this album./l\
During his 4th year as said bard, he released his second album called "Ogham of the Wood" Which, This, (in his own interpretation), explains the significance's with the moons and trees, within the Celtic year and tells of the seasonal changes and celebrations such as Mayday, Summer Solstice, Autumn time, and completes the year with a round up of a years life of the tree within the seasons in general with the song (expired link).
It took him a year and a day (2010), to write the first song on this album so that he could understand the significance's of the trees of the Ogham.
Cliff in 2016. Released his 3rd album, Buttercups and Fantasies. Which includes 9 songs.
Again in keeping of his pagan beliefs. He shares his inspirations with songs such as Inspire me. A Dress of Silver. Oden and Thor and also adds a bonus track, Frack Off!. Amongst the mix.
He hopes that you will continue to walk with him as his journey continues along his path and be inspired from his music and songs that are inspired by nature, the elements, the sunrises, moon phases and by the stories from our country's ancestral folk lore.
Blessed Be and Thanx!
