About clintbracher
Clint Bracher is a songwriter/artist born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. A former member of a South Texas based folk/Americana band (Emory Quinn), Bracher has continued to write and play now for 20 years.
Forming a band in 2003, Bracher toured with Emory Quinn for seven years, releasing four albums and one EP: Letting Go (2006), The Road Company (2008), Live at Gruene Hall (2010), See You at the Next Light (2010) & Chupacabra (2012). After the band parted ways and a break from touring, Clint returned to the studio in 2016 to begin putting together his first solo album. Later taking time off to face issues with alcohol, a new lease has allowed Bracher to re-emerge and release his first independent album, See Me Rise (2020).
With influence from folks like Tom Petty, Elton John and Townes Van Zandt, the never-ending struggle to reach people through sound and lyrics has remained a driving force. Looking at life as it was compared to how it is, writing has continued to grow and become a larger part of everything.
“The crowd changes every night, so I have no idea what they want to hear”, Bracher says as he is currently writing and recording new music with Matt Battle at Battleground Sound in Austin, and also working with Dallas producer and friend, Jake Cswaykus, in putting together the music for his next release, Sonorous. “It’s taken me a while to come to terms with what I’ve been doing and what I am doing when it comes to music. I grew up in a good place, a lot of love and support, with creative ambition that has always had a hold on me. Writing about life’s process feeds that, and is something I find myself doing without realizing it. I try and write songs that allow the listener to appear in each situation. Something we can all relate to and make our own. The sound and message are two things that continue to change, and I hope that stays the same.”
