Cobra Cocktail got their name from their venomously addicting style and sound that is derived from the vast cocktail of musical backgrounds and influences each of the seven members posses. Their music Cobra Cocktail was formed Fall 2007 in the sunny town of Tarzana, California. At first, Cobra Cocktail consisted of only three members: Singer Luke Rossin, Keytarist Garrett Crosby, and Lead Guitarist Anthony Rodriguez. Luke and Anthony had already been playing together in other bands since they were in 8th grade, not to mention they have been best friends since 3rd grade. It wasn't until Garrett and Luke attended California State Northridge together that they all started to collaborate.

After a year of writing and recording, Garrett, Luke and Anthony began to seek out other musicians to perform with. Looking first in their immediate circle of friends, they contacted Drummer Tyler Jameson, who Garrett played tenor saxophone with in their high school jazz band. Tyler was an instant fit into the group and his recruitment paved the way for the remaining members of Cobra. Tyler's best friend, Electric Drummer Jason Fragoso, quickly jumped into the mix after sitting in on several jam sessions held in Luke's backyard. Shortly thereafter, Jason's little brother, Guitarist Alex Fragoso joined the band and brought along his best friend, former Bassist Anthony Wescott.
