Ask UK producer COCKROACH, where it all began, and he’ll tell you about waking up on the platform of Leeds train station, waiting for the early morning post-train back to his home town of Scarborough. He had been to see punk band, The Exploited, at a club called ‘Branningans’, and he had to get back for school that morning - he was thirteen years old. The seeds had been well and truly planted a few years before, with the remnants of The Sex Pistols, and The Clash,still reverberating through the live music scene. This had an impact on COCKROACH and travelling up and down the country to see bands became the norm. The punk scene was something special so it was here, on the post-train to Scarborough in his early teens that he realised, music was life and life was music…
IN THE BEGINNING -> ->
COCKROACH converts a garage into a recording studio after receiving funding from the Foundation for Sports and the Arts. He runs workshops for disadvantaged kids and begins his own recording projects.

FORWARD TIME -> ->
COCKROACH releases his first album, Infestation, various tracks made their way on to compilation albums. He gigs up and down the country and is included in various promotional events through music magazines, clubs and radio…
-> The rave scene explodes…
-> Influences> Crass/ Discharge/ Ministry/ The Clash/ The Damned /N-Joi, and a multitude of early dance tunes.
-> No more labels, genre free…

FORWARD TIME->->
2015->->COCKROACH returns to the studio to start work on new material after a long break from the music business.
-> Instant positive feedback from major players in the electronic music world brings about the release of The Humanity EP, and Real, on Outerbass Records, London.
-> An amazing response to these releases leads to numerous radio and music press reviews and internet attention throughout the year, secures deals with major distribution labels in the UK and internationally.
FORWARD TIME->->
2016->-> COCKROACH signs record contracts in the USA for worldwide distribution of two albums, Tranceparent andPsychosis.
-> Various radio plays are aired on the BBC and new material is played out at Tomorrowland in Belgium.
-> Major festival dates are booked for 2017.
-> A 5-year contract for a new EP with Sirius B Records, Australia, is signed.

FORWARD TIME>>>>
2017 >> Recording new material planned at Farmadelica Studios, Florida, USA, for a future album release, Through the Looking Glass.
-> COCKROACH track, Earth Calling, released on the forthcoming epic compilation album, Healing the Earth One Song at a Time, on Cinder Cone Records - put together by Howard Merlin Wulkan, at his studio Farmadelica,
-> Various magazine/radio interviews and features in the UK and America.
-> New up and coming collaborations and UK gigs with the legendary Gary Clail and a tour of North America >>> FORWARD TIME ->->
2018->->COCKROACH returns to the studio, recording music for film and television in the USA and Europe.
