I began playing drums when i was 14 in 1977. I started to play guitar in 1979 playing with a friend who played (expired link) the late seventies i was experimenting with record decks and delay/echo tape units recording to a cassette tape recorder because i could not afford to buy a 4tr tape recorder or pay to go into recording (expired link) was experimenting in the seventies recording samples of Kitchen utensils,bottles etc using cheap microphones and an early Cassette tape recorder...I used two Cassette tape recorders to bounce and over dub other (expired link) was a bed that i used as a bass drum...
John Foxx's engineer used similar Techiniques using rack effects with keyboard/synths to create unique new sound also using the Roland early drum machine.
My inspiration to create new types of music came from various new electronic music in the 80s Including Suicide a duo of Alan Vega and Martin (expired link) then joined a band in 1982/3 called Kamasutra and we did a few gigs, and recorded a few songs but split up in 1984. This was when I met a drummer whom I created experimental music with playing (expired link) then traveled to Finland and we filmed a music video for the drummers Girlfriend who was in a finnish band called 'Burundi'....We kept rehearsing and playing also videoing our music at that time.{I will upload some footage soon} for about 6 years i recorded music with Michael Macarthur who was the drummer i was working with at the time..i composed a track called 'Revelations' in 1985/6 before we traveled to Finland The track was then put on a film called 'Naked cell' in 1987. The band 'Burundi' had a female guitarist in 1987at that (expired link) left the band and the drummer 'Mike' who i had worked with tried to get me in the band to play guitar but for certain reasons the lead singer didn't want me in the (expired link) then came back to England,By 1990 Burundi which had Mike playing drums had split up. I then went back to Finland from England where Mike and I formed the Om Orchestra with other In Helsinki who were Finnish (expired link) then composed a few tracks.'The Wish' and 'Terror Eyes' which were composed by Michael Macarthur And Jessi who is a female Finnish guitarist/musician In 1990 i joined with jessi and added my experimental guitar to the songs..We rehearsed for a few weeks before we performed a Gig In (expired link) then recorded two tracks in a 24tr studio attached to the rehearsal studio's...The recording engineer loved our music but we didn't have a singer so we auditioned a female Finnish model who had quite a unique style of singing much similar to the singer of the bands 'The Cranes' and the singer of the Scottish band 'Altered Images' who sang a famous hit song 'happy birthday' back in the eighties...We then went into the studio to record two tracks with the Finnish/Norwegian singer 'Nina'...The band split up because the studio engineer wanted to promote the female singer and not the band as a Finnish model (expired link) was in England trying to get the band a record deal...So After many attempts in bands i decided to just create music by myself or with only one other musician..So after 1990 i did various projects with other (expired link) was before the internet I was given a 4tr tascam tape recorder in the 90's along with some other drum machines and a Yamaha Synth to then compose tracks onto cassette (expired link) bought a lexicon reverb and began to experiment recording onto a 4tr tascam (expired link) was mixing drum machines and synths with various effects creating analog tape tracks.
In the 90's i did one gig working with another drummer and we created a few songs one of which has my singing and (expired link) used a 4tr recorder and Atari computer and his father played bass...I also worked with one other who at the time was working with drum machines and house beats to create dance (expired link) added my guitar to his dance track.
I was a roadie for the band 'Bauhaus' from 1980 to when they split up in 1983 At this point I joined the band Kamasutra.
I continued to compose music which was mainly Film soundtrack music ideas from the 90's into 2000 but also composing some songs with lyrics.
by 2008/10 I bought a music computer using Cubase went to college to learn about computers and did a sound Engineer course.
From 2015 i began using Logic pro- x to compose tracks using plugins from Komplete native instruments and other third-party plugins.
In 2018 i worked with a few CGI animators to create music video's using my art and music.
I am now in the process of organizing a film production company to create alternative Tv And make films,shorts etc.
My book of short stories is nearly finished and will be published soon.
I teach guitar,bass and will be producing a book on my art and guitar effects (expired link) am also in the process of recording a vast sample library of my guitar styles and effects to implement in my tracks for films and songs.
