About Colleen McGrath

Colleen McGrath has been singing professionally most of her life. At the ripe age of 9, she was singing with her father in Greenwich Village NYC and various Long Island contests. She made top runner up for the movie "Annie" , and at 10 years old she won 2nd place against all adults in a televised "March of Dimes" contest. She went on to win "The Long Island Teen Talent Contest", awarded the prior year to Debra Gibson. When Colleen turned 16 she started writing her own original songs and playing the NYC club curcuit. She got discouraged by the lack of money in the original curcuit and by age 19 she put her own cover band together named "Jane Doe". Her band was number 1 in the tri-state area playing the college circuit and the most popular clubs. In the year 2000, Colleen recorded "There Goes Your Heart" with 2 producers from Brooklyn and the song hit the charts on 103.5 WKTU. She then spent the next year touring with Cyndi Lauper, Debra Cox and singing with WKTU's own Judy Torres. Colleen headlined at "The Rio" in Los Vegas and many other big venues.
