Hi, this is Toni Abellán from Barcelona in Catalonia.

I started studying music (concretely piano and musical theory) when I was teen, I don't remember exactly but think it was when I was fifteen. Unfortunately, I didn't finish my musical studies because I had to start working for a living. Despite that, I've never stopped playing keyboards and synths on my own and although I'm not a very good instrumentist, I've to recognize that my true passion is the composition.
I really love making a song starting with an idea and building it step by step. Drums, basses, keys, guitars, percussion....all of them. It's really amazing and that's why I love making music.

I've grown listening to the music of great musicians and bands like Weather Report, Chick Corea, Miles Davis, Joe and Gino Vanelly ,Jaco Pastorius, Herbie Hancok, Dave Grusin, John Scofield, Yes , Genesis ,Emerson Lake and Palmer, Frank Zappa, King Crimson, Carlos Santana, The Zawinul Syndicate, Wayne Shorter, Stanley Clarke, Pink Floyd, David Bowie, Donald Fagen, Gal Costa, George Duke, Georgie Fame, Stan Getz, Joachim Khün , Stephan Grappelly, Steely Dan, Iceberg, Billy Cobham, Michael Stern, Gary Burton, Pat Metheny ... and lots of great musicians and bands which I'm not able to remember just now.

I suppose that all these musicians have influenced on my music style, but I'm not trying to imitate them. I think that It's better to fail in originality than to succeed in imitation.
Music and creativity are a human nature gifts to who's able to make it and everybody have the needed skills to make his own music. Only have to search for his soul and music will flow in a natural way.
