CRANK CRANK was formed from the ashes of a number of ex bands from Halmstad in 2007, the thought and desire was to make music that was based on the joy and energy.

The first steps were taken in the summer of 2007 and the first gig was in November 2007 at the Hard Rock Party, CRANK played cover songs by Hoobastank, Bowling for Soup, etc., but it was in their own music the energy would lay.

2008 was devoted to writing their own songs and record them, CRANK released Muscular Spasm, lukewarm reception was when the recording and qualify was poor, summer of 2008 CRANK played at the Hard Rock Festival and later at the Hard Rock Party, which was first gig with some of their own songs, great interest was shown in the them and CRANK decided then to go into the studio to record an ep with just their own music.

September 2008 CRANK went into the studio to record the EP, the producer was Rickard Bengtsson, and the studio was The sweetspot studio, recording dragged out and first in April 2009 the album was mixed and ready, Spraypaint Salvation was released digitally on the Record Union and received good reviews by magazines and fans.
