BIOGRAPHICAL NOTES Cristoforo (Cris) Nania, born in Sicily on March 21, 1956. A difficult and lonely childhood, far from familiar places and emotional references; the much desired return to his country in his adolescence does not, however, give him the joyful serenity of the familiarity of the places and he does not find his origins, affections and people now lost forever, as he had imagined a thousand times. At sixteen he decides to start the adventure of his life by embarking as a sailor. A thousand stories, a thousand experiences and it still continues today, continually proving himself and his ideals. He has traveled the world and, curious by nature, has never stopped searching and always having new experiences. His writings, indeed narrate "feel" feelings and situations, often focus on suffering, pain, the ephemeral joy of moments which, inherent in the human soul and in any case never a cause of renunciation and abandonment, indeed become a reason for learning, growth and hope. By his very nature he is interested and instinctively involved in novelties or "oddities", which in any case do not create amazement but curiosity and which push him, out of an innate thirst for knowledge, to deepen, to understand, learn, to grow. He therefore remains attentive to his surroundings, always ready to grasp every sign of change. In love with Life and strongly attracted to the female universe, so different and complex than the male one. He is single, has two sons. He lives in Sicily, but travels outside of this are frequent. He reads everything and music crosses his life. He loves the colors of the earth, he avoids the carnival crowd, unless he creates it. Capable communicator, above average intelligence, instinctive and sometimes almost precognitive thinking, he is always one step ahead of events. He's tough with a soft heart. WHAT THEY SAY ABOUT HIM: CRISTOFORO NANIA is a pure songwriter, who sings his songs and recites his poems. It speaks of love and loves to feel the return of the emotions of the public. Try to warm their souls by transmitting sensations, leaving the words lightness in riding emotions. In his musical cauldron, he puts everything, pop, rock, indie, blues, funky, ballads, country, resulting in a pleasant mix, vintage in some respects. The lyrics and music are by Cristoforo, messages of daily life, of love and passion. His musical experiences have taken him around many cities and regions of Italy. He has also performed abroad, several times in China, in Beijing and Shanghai with a local band. To his credit two CDs: "of the sea, of dreams, of love" "essential" and the third work in progress "..for simple souls" Musically he was born in the 70s, feeling very close in style and genre to Italian singer-songwriters such as De Andrè, De Gregori, Dalla, Battisti, Conte, however he has never stopped mixing musical styles such as blues, rock, country, funky, reaching also the "manush" or the gypsy swing.
