About Cross Vision
Our mission as "Crusaders for CHRIST" is to touch as many people as possible with our music and to plant the seeds of faith along the way. We all come together from different areas of PA and make that happen with our blend of originals and covers from a lot of well known Christian artists.
Here are our individual bios
Cheryl Ann – Lead Singer (Canonsburg)
I grew up in a small town where I have been singing most of my life. My inspiration has always come from my parents and my Aunt who always taught me that nothing is impossible if you only believe in yourself, your dreams and GOD. And of course I have to thank my wonderful husband for his love and support too. He has been behind me every step of the way with this great adventure.
My favorite past time and passion is writing songs for our Lord and Savior. I have been doing this for 10 years now. In fact, last year, I put out my very first Album/CD: Once in A Lifetime by Cheryl Ann. If you are interested, you can find out more about my CD and me on: ((expired link)). I especially love when I touch someone with my songs and bring them one step closer to our Lord and Savior.
I have always felt God's direction and love in my life. It empowers me!!!!
Mike – Lead guitarist and vocalist (Bethel Park)
I have my dad to thank for starting our family on its musical journey. He was a guitar player, the oldest of six brothers and we always got together for jam sessions with the family. That is where my love of the guitar came to be.
My first high school band was called: "Beyond Time". This was a time of Psychedelic rock and an era of social restlessness in American culture. I was in this band for a years and then moved on to playing with my first Christian band, " The Peace Makers". I was with them for a total of 15 years playing at Resurrection Church. I also dabbled in playing with other rock and bar bands along the way. Then as time went on, I ended up joining another Christian Band, "Heartbeat". Here I rediscovered that music never leaves your soul once you are hooked. I played with their band for about 6 years and made some wonderful friends along the way.
Over the next year, I was playing with a close friend of mine as "Fynline" We would get together and play at coffee houses, open mic's, etc. just for the fun and love of music.
But once again I felt the need to go back and play in a Christian band. One night I met Cheryl at a coffee house. We were able to share our ideas, our beliefs and our visions of what we were both looking for in a band and when we realized that we were on the same page, that night, the band and its name, "Cross Vision" was born. It has been a lot of hard work to get the band up and running, but it has also been a blessing in so many ways. Music is a way of life and I’ve met so many wonderful people along the way. The bible is already written, we just have to interpret it properly......"Cross Vision" Style.
Bob – Bass Guitarist and much more instruments and vocalist (Washington)
I have sung in school choirs since elementary school and church choirs since High School. In college, I sung under Guy Owen Baker in the West Virginia Tech Concert and community choirs. In addition to Cross Vision, I currently sing tenor in the Jefferson Avenue United Methodist choir in Washington, PA; in the Washington Festival Chorale ((expired link)); and Celtic music with the Beau Street Players.
I learned piano during elementary school, got my first guitar in eighth grade, taught primarily by my older brother, Don Stark. I got my violin soon after, and my first string bass in 9th grade. In college I played guitar, fiddle, and bass in several West Virginia bluegrass bands as well as the Washington DC Metro area.
I have been known to "Rock the Church" periodically with the West Washington/Jefferson Avenue Fools for Christ youth praise band.
I am a partner at ProTech Professional Technical Services, a supplier of IT Technical training, Systems Management consulting, and software in Monroeville, PA
