Curtains On Fire is the creation of guitarist Hoshang Haris from Sweden, Stockholm. Hes strongly influenced by "Neoclassical metal". My name is Hoshang Haris and ive loved music and metal since first grade (small kid), and my first band to listen to and favorite was AC/DC, then Guns n Roses and Metallica.

Kirk Hammet was my favorite guitarplayer and rolemodel until...i discovered Mr Yngwie Malmsteen in 1999. I saw a TV-show on swedish TV-channel called Z-TV. They interviewed Yngwie Malmsteen in a car on his from the airport to Grammyaward-show. I was fascinated by his guitarplaying and songs. The first song i heard was Heaven Tonight and i got hooked. I loved Joe Lynn Turners voice and the nice keyboardmelodies.

I write my demos at home with just the guitar whenever i come up with a cool theme or riff. I record the rythm on my mp3 and write the lyrics along it (wich is pain in the ass). Then i book a couple of days with a friend of mine who is a drummer. We record my songs on his LogicPro software program, with drums, keys and vocals( wich i sing). And i suggest drumbeats here and there, but mostly he does really good drumbeats for my demos. Recording a song takes us 2-3 days maximum. Its many hours.
