Synopsis
Born Curtis A. Johnson in Washington DC on May 10th and raised in Northeast, DC. CurtboneJonsUn found his love for hip hop at age 10. As a child Curtis watched the neighborhood guys freestyle in ciphers on the street corner. Curtis started releasing songs of his own by age 11 when his grandmother heard a tape cassette he made with a song he wrote about his rough upbringing.

Curtis continued to do music all through out his teenage years. At age 17, Curtis really started to take his music more serious, after the birth of his son Amari. By age 18 Curtis met a music producer by the Name of Dre Mack Africa who mentored and showed him the ins and out of the music industry. Later they would form a group called AndreCurtis and release a solo record called "Bad to the Bone".

Curtis became recognized by his peers in his community and continued recording music for a more regional audience. In 2011 Curtis started his own Independent label Called EYEZ ON PRIZE MUSIC GROUP. Curtis went on to put together a team of four rappers and an R&B artist. In 2012, EOPMG released a mixtape on link called “BUILDING A BRAND VOL 1,” based on the concepts of developing an empire. EOPMG most recently released “BUILDING A BRAND Vol 2” in May of 2015. Today you can find CurtboneJonSun still on the grind as he practices what he preaches by keeping his Eyes On The Prize!
