Music Mavens: I hope this message finds you all doing well. I am announcing today the release of my 6th Studio Album of instrumental guitar music, ‘The Reset Theory’, available online at various locations. (See the end of the message for links.) It can feel clumsy when musicians try to describe their sound in music, but the basic idea behind the album is, as the title suggests, that maybe we are all in some sort of new normal right now, due to the pandemic and other factors. Things feel very unsettled and I wanted to try to make a future-directed, semi-optimistic, artistic statement about that, somehow. On a more micro-level, I was simply becoming bored with my sound, so I decided to experiment with other styles and recording techniques.
