About Dariddim

Formerly "Dariddim", now rebranded as the solo project "Beartalk". A blend of reggae, rock, funk, hip hop and other genres. Lots of radical moods and movements in my songs, i l My name is John Landry aka "Beartalk", formerly know as "Dariddim". I am a local unsigned musician/songwriter in Orange County, California. I mostly grew up in Phoenix, Arizona where i started my music obsession at the age of 6 when i started learning the piano. After learining piano, theory, and how to read and understand music it became VERY easy for me to learn EVERY instrument i got my hands on. I was in and out of bands throughout middle school and high school, and had a non-genre specific love for every type of music.

After high school i fell from music for a while with the exception of DJing at partys. A series of unfortunate events led me to the decision to pick up and start a new life elsewhere. I joined The United States Marine Corps August 2007 at the age of 20.

The miilitary provided a whole new perspective and appreciation for life, and after a couple deployments overseas, i began to really appreciate everything that i used to take for granted. My music matured evolved accordingly. The military also landed me in Southern California, where i spent every summer as a kid growing up. My Dad lived in Long Beach with my other brothers and sist
