as always, thanks for subscribing and I write to let you know that I will release a remastered version of my debut album August Moon, which I initially launched in 2011 on CD only. At the time, CDs were still in fashion and I never launched the album onto any streaming platforms. I always preferred to push onto the next musical project. My friend cajoled me into sending the album to iTunes and Spotify. Instead I re-arranged and re-recorded old takes, recorded new passages onto each song and remastered the whole album. I hope you will like it. As a sampler, I will release a song which is a new imagining of an old song. Watch this space. Best Wishes,

I had resolved in 2023 to release 1 song every month but things haven't quite worked out that way. But here is a new song on my evolving album called "Short Stories". It's called "Don't you fool around with older men" and stylistically is a departure for me. My core genre is acoustic rock but this one is a classic rock song. I hope you get a chance to hear it. It's the first song on my N1M list.
I plan to re-release my debut album 'August Moon" which I never sent iTunes, so I have updated and re-recorded all the songs. I hope you will like the new versions.
I do plan to continue releasing individual new tracks in 2023 and also focus on promoting my music more actively.

as always, thanks so much for subscribing to my N1M channel, it's a great motivator.
I write to let you know that I am working on a new album called "Short Stories " and, this time, I will release one track at a time rather than wait till all tracks are finished. It does mean that the songs are a preview before the complete album reaches iTunes and Spotify, so you can hear them first.
This will be my 6th album but I only launched 3 albums on iTunes so far. So I am also working remastering my back catalog for release to iTunes, which will include my debut album August Moon. In fact, I am recording many of the old songs, which I hope will enhance the original recordings. I will let you know when it's ready. Once I've finished those, I really should give some attention to promotion and I will start linking songs to social media platforms.
For now, I hope you will enjoy my new song "My glass is never empty" which is a cautionary tale about addiction and self delusion. "Write from experience" they said, OK, truthfully, I never saw the inside of the County Jail.

I have published a new song today called Cuban Heels, which is a little different from my usual style. I wrote the arrangement 10 years ago but had no words until I was inspired by some old Rita Hayworth dance movies of the link you like it.

It's probably darker than the themes I usually write about. It's a nod to Raymond Chandler novels.
I intended to publish tracks individually rather as an album, so look out for more to come and not all so dark.

About Dave Harris
Dave Harris is a singer-songwriter and accomplished guitarist from Bristol, UK, who performs his own original material and interpretations of popular covers.
His songs have a wide mix of styles from English folk to American country with fusions of of Latin, jazz and link guitar style is inventive and melodic delivered over well crafted arrangements. He plays acoustic, electric and slide guitar as well as bass and banjo which feature significantly in his songs.
Dave grew up in the north east of England and started playing guitar at 14, influenced by the epic bands of the day like The Who and Zeppelin as well songwriters like Neil Young, Dylan and John Martyn.
In 2011, he released a debut album of original songs called "August Moon" and the follow up album "The Usual Suspects" was released in 2014 which featured varied collaborations with his songwriting partners.
Dave's songwriting style is mature and confident and he writes accessible lyrics, which people can easily identify with. His stories of love, life and loss touch the heart and play out heartfelt scenes that we can all recognize from our own lives, often delivered with irony and humour.
His 5th Album, entitled "HandPicked Tunes" is now on iTunes Amazon and Spotify.
