This songs sounds fabulous. Really nice recorded and thats what this kind of song deserve. It has everything in it, what makes this song outstanding in every way. The voice of the female singer sounds so great. Where the hell did get her from or which planet. You lucky bastard. Despite this beautiful song, I think it is not listened often, while it is almost as good like names as "Glen Campbell or John Mayer.

Good Times and Bad is a strictly country piece in the highest sense of the word. everything sounds in country style and even the singer has a country voice as I said everything recalls the country genre. personally it is not my favorite genre but I can give you a musical judgment that is certainly positive because all that there must be in a country piece in your piece is therefore complimented and continues. good job

Hi

It is a nice melody and an Good Idea of the song..but just an idea which need some work on it..from Vocal ..arrangement to Recording Quality..also it will be great if You add some intro on the beginning and cutthat Guitar solo on the middle..so re write..re arrange.. re record with better singers and all of that do in Recording Studio and after that there is a chace it will be a good song.. as it is not.. It Has to many Problems..if You do not believe me..send to some Radio Stations or Music Publishers and wait what They will say..( if They will say anything )..I wish You good luck..

Great idea, cool sounds, great song, just not quite happy with the mix

This is a great duet. The female vocals are just magic, and compliment Dave's sections amazingly well. At first the pan of the voices creates the great audio illusion of opposite perspectives, unfortunately the promise of such attention to detail gets lost a little when it comes to the orchestra of musical instruments that have come together to create this cute sounding folk song. My first rating was 3.5, but I have given it a final higher review of 3.8, I mean i have been a little forgiving about the final mix down, because in truth, I like the song and I love the female vocals and harmony on this, enough to give it a few listens. I guess you can get used to an average mix if you expect it, such is the expectation with live bands I guess.

"Good times and bad" review

Hi Dave, Thanks to submit your song for a review. First this review it's just my opinion. 1 / Mix and production : For me it's clearly the weakless of the track. The mix is unbalanced between voices and music. Voices are out of mix. 2 / Music : I like the music, jam between folk & a little country (guitar steel). 3 / Vocals : Vocals harmony are interesting in the Beatles style. Be carefull at many places the vocals are shifted. Too bad you don't sing together. 4 / Overall : Good music, good song exept the vocals problem and an average production. Good luck.

Good song with a great vocal performance with two voices that match great to each other. Got some vibes of 50's music with almost a hint of Beatles or something like that in parts of the melody.

Love It!!

Great great song! very memorable - great music, lyrics, and vocals. vocal timing could be improved where male/female vocal overlapped (and perhaps harmonized vs both singing the same melody). really enjoyed listening to this one

NICE

Nice song. I love the way you have two vocals on it and the way they go back and forth. In my opinion, while both are good vocals, they dont blend well when singing together. Could just be a mix problem. Nice arrangement and good musicians.

feel good song

Nice little song, Nice story the harmonies are good. I like the use of all the guitars and the little use of the backing strings. could use perhaps one more little bridge for a surprise change to the song. I like it though

I really like the mix of two vocals. It gives more character to the story hearing it from both his and hers side. I also like the chords arrangement a lot. Good balance in the mix between instruments and vocals. Good job done!

Good times et bad

C,est la chose basic pour un duo mais je pense que la mélodie aurait du plus de succès en étant jouer plus soft, ence qui me concerne j ai l impression qu',il faut revoir la mise en place et stucture du morceau à un niveau plus propre

Beautiful Duet with compelling lyrics

Save and his female cohort blend their voices beautifully in this lovely country song featuring a beautiful steel guitar. Very traditional country with an uplifing melody. Great lyrics and arrangement, nice acoustic bass.

Cool and relaxed, but not yet ready

Helpful

A relaxed piece of country music with comparably nice lyrics. There's three things I'd like to mention or to criticise. First of all, the drum groove is too undecided in the first part of the song, and of course a real drumset would have done better. Second thing is the various guitar patterns in the second half, all of them good in sound and craftsmanship, but none of them comes to the point. It's more like a number of unfinished sketches appearing in a row. Third thing is the vocals setting in the parts with the female voice joining. I assume it's done on purpose that the voices are not in sync which is fine with me, but then I would recommend to let the main voice take the lead and let the harmony voice in with a certain delay. To me it seems that the female voice is comin' too early which gives kind of an opposite delay effect. Interesting but at least uncommon. I think if you decide on these somehow open points, the song would yet gain a lot. I like the flow as such and the tunes as well. Think there's a lot of potential in this song.

Dave has a great voice and very cool tune. id prefer to hear it with just Dave singing.. I think having the femaile singer throws the song off just a bit.. her voice doesnt blend with Daves . the melody is very catchy tooo!

I don't like that its is unoriginal

My first review wasn't able to be posted due to censorship. I looked over the review and found nothing I could identify as crude or untruthful but I imagine I was censored because I mentioned the names of the song and the album that David Harris was obviously ripping off. The vocals are nice and good but the music is totally unoriginal. Now I went to David Harris, profile and read that he does his own interpretations of other artists songs. He did this hear in this song and that unoriginallity is what I don't like. I also don't like the fact that he did not give credit to the song he borrowed the melody from and the other artist's work he was passing off as his own. When you do an interpretation of someone else's song, you still have to tell the public and make a notation in the title or description so as to not seem as if you are pulling it off as one of your own. You know better and you should do better.

Sweet song, nice recording

I gotta say, I'm not necessarily one to listen to this type of song. I've heard many country love songs that just seem like the same old, same old, but this one just rang true ... Sweet and real. I like the vocals but gotta tighten them up a bit to have a chance to be a hit in that market. Excellent musicianship, solid songwriting and a great sentiment that people can really relate to ... Well done overall. And it's got a chance. Go for it.

Compelling Uplifting Duet

Helpful

This is a classic country duet with a compelling story. Enjoying the good times, enduring the bad times is a good theme for this uplifting him and her song. The singers are good and sounded good together. I enjoyed the songwriting as it went to a few unexpected chordal places for the bridge sections, as well as gave the country fans what they want and expect. This is a lovely duet and I look forward to hearing more for this talented artist.
