About DPB-David Brooks

David Paul Brooks (DPB), positive rap artist, songwriter, actor, clothing designer, mentor, motivational speaker, and CEO of DPB Records and Victory Media Group establishes a new and positive image in the recording industry. His goal is to give people, particularly youth, an alternative and cutting edge message in music that can set them free from painful issues they may be dealing with, in an art form they relate to. In addition, David has created a program for schools dealing with character education issues, such as peer pressure, bullying, promoting respect, and making best choices as stressed by the United States Department of Education.
 
David has opened for many great artists including the legendary Bootsy Collins, Salt 'n Pepa, Kool Moe Dee, Kirk Franklin, Yolanda Adams, King and Country, Unspoken, dc Talk, Anointed, Deion Sanders, Canton Jones and countless others. To add to his inspiring resume, his many performances on television include BET (Teen Summit) Gospel Special. David was also a member of (expired link). (Disciples of Christ), a Grammy and Dove nominated group.
 
David is now the solo artist, DPB. This has taken him to new heights in music all around the globe. He is now established with mass appeal to teach, minister, and motivate as he performs, impacting people's lives.

When DPB signed with Donna Jean Records, Raining Fire was the first single released off of the recording project, RE-ID, and went to number eleven on urban dance charts.

DPB was "the Rapper" at the largest youth movement in the United States. DPB and his Crew has teamed up with other cities and states comprising of Albuquerque, Baltimore, and Pittsburgh, and Tennessee and Vermont, to name a few, extending this movement across the country.

The Birmingham Area Music Awards recognized DPB by nominating him for a Bama Award for Best Gospel/Christian Artist. The Urban Inspiration Awards also nominated DPB for Best Hip Hop Artist.
 
DPB has released his album, 3D-PB. His single from the album, entitled Wake Up, broke records by staying number one for twenty-seven weeks on (expired link). The video of the single has over a half million views and has also been played on multiple stations around the world.
