Hey, everyone,
First of all I want to update you on the new albums and singles that are available on my two music sites, link and link. Also on Spotify just search for David Erickson and you will find all of this music. Of course, my music will still be on link, Amazon digital, and several other music sites. The newest album is my first Worship album, Worship Him, available on most music sites. I also have three new singles, soon to be on their own album in the next couple weeks. The singles are, The King Is Coming (Isa.32), Just Because He Loves You, and Chasing The Wind.

Now, may I ask a favor of all of you that could help me and help you. I'm not quite sure how this will work, but I would like for who ever can, to send me an email listing your favorite songs that I have recorded (as many as you like), and your favorite one or two albums that have already been posted on my sites. I want to put these on special so you as subscribers can get a substantial discount on albums and singles between now and Christmas. I will send an additional newsletter next month at this same time mapping out the details of the specials just for my subscribers.

Also, if possible, would you share with your friends my music so they may also share in the discounts I will offer before Christmas. This is a win, win for all of us. What I would like to see more than anything is for hundreds more people to be blessed by the words of the songs the Lord has given me in 2020. In addition, I have four new songs that I will be recording in my home studio very soon. I'm also putting together a brand new Christmas album with the Christmas songs that I wrote in 2019 and a few more before this Christmas.

Even though this has been a weird year for most of us, God has blessed Jan and I with jobs this whole year and I have had opportunity to write, record and produce many new songs in 2020. I just want the whole world to hear what you have had opportunity to listen to this year. Let's do this and look forward to an awesome Christmas season and a great 2021.

Hopefully and God willing, my wife and I and a few friends will be traveling the country in motorhomes the summer of 2021. I know those of you who are overseas will not have this opportunity, but we will be visiting many of your home towns on our nation wide journey. We would love to meet many of you and we will be ready to do some adlib concerts along the way. Sounds exciting to me. We will post an itinerary before all this happens next year.

Good afternoon everyone,

We woke up this beautiful Sunday morning to 4 inches of snow in Carson City. I had to clear the truck from snow before we headed to church at 9AM. It was a great day at church, great music and sermon. I was thinking of the changing of seasons.

We are in a season of change in America. We will follow the crowd into the ditch or pray for victory. We need revival in America. We need to get back to His Word and to what He has called us to do. That is preach the gospel to every creature.

I'm planning on doing my part through music and words.

Dear Friends,
At times I am without words to describe how the Lord leads me in almost every situation I am involved in. Recently as I stood in the door way of the local Walmart in which I work 40 hours a week, I looked back and recalled the people I was able to talk to and encourage over the past year. Many of these people shared with me sorrow and heartbreak. Many shared pain. I suppose I was the one easy to talk to at that moment. Well anyway, long story short, I wrote a song from my heart about these encounters and my opportunity to pray for them. I couldn't really stop at that very moment in time to pray for them since I was working, but in my private time and even while I was working, I quietly prayed for many of my dear friends and their difficulties they were encountering. I prayed for cancer, sick relatives, and people on their death bed. I believe I encouraged these people because I offered to pray for them or their relative. I was in the right place at the right time. God is so good.

I will pray for you.

Hey, Folks,

Welcome to the 5 or 6 new subscribers in the last two days. And also to those who have been subscribers for quite a while. We love you all and thank you for playing the music that God has given me the privilege to write and record. I'm in the process of writing and recording three new ones which I hope to be done this week sometime.

I was thinking today about some of my most popular songs, such as I'm A Child Of God. This particular song has far and away more plays that any other of my songs. Of course, some of the popularity comes from the fact that I've promoted it a lot on link almost since I wrote and recorded it over a year ago.

This particular song has had over 48000 plays around the world and 7861 unique likes. Right now on link it is the 3rd most popular in the world. This isn't about me. This is about HIM. I'm his child and all my songs belong to HIM. And, of course, I write the songs for you all.

Another year has flown by and the Christmas season is here. Great Christmas songs are out there and others written every year. This is my favorite time of the year. I've written a few, Christmas Eve, Jesus Is the Reason, The Feelings At Christmas, and Strangers In Bethlehem. I also recorded a couple of old songs, The Christmas Story and I'll Be Home For Christmas. So much fun.

Check out my other new songs, Where You Are, You are my Hope, Faithful, you Have Been Faithful and others. My favorite is an awesome worship song, I worship You Alone.

Hey, Everyone,
Another Thanksgiving season has come and gone and it's only a few weeks from my favorite holiday. But midst the hustle and bustle of this incredible season remember who this season is all about. One of my new songs says "This Is It", the life of living with Jesus that will never quit. Well, as we all know it began over 2000 years ago in a little town called Bethlehem when strangers arrived in town for the census and the baby king was born to Mary and Joseph. Awesome, it gives me goosebumps thinking about it.

Jesus is the reason for the season. I stood for 8 hours at the front door of our local Walmart and the Lord gave me the words of one of my latest Christmas songs. Below are the lyrics.

Hey folks,
I know, it's been a while since my last email. First of all a couple of months ago we moved. We downsized to our travel trailer in a trailer park here in Carson city. We plan on being here at least until next June. We are going to travel eventually but in the mean time I have to reinvent my studio which is now my kitchen table with a new, faster computer. I had to redownload all of my tools I use for recording and writing my music. I still haven't perfected the process but I'm really near.

I'm also, if it be the Lord's will, going to adventure into publishing one of my fiction books through a publisher who will do most of the work to send it all over the world. I've self published several books, but I should get more sales this way.

The Lord has been so good to us and we are going to continue to do the things He has called us to do. He commissioned all of us to tell everyone about Jesus and His love so that is what I am set out to do my part.

Today I will record at least two new songs and post them in the near future. I have five new ones the Lord has given me and a few other ideas coming as well.

Hey folks,
Janice and I are in the midst of a move from our 3 bedroom townhouse costing way too much, to our travel trailer we bought a couple months ago. Yes, we plan on traveling all over the US and Canada in the near future but...Jan has a full time job during the school year for a few months at the beginning of the school year, And, of course I have my full time job.

Just thought I give you all an update, short and sweet. Writing lots of songs but no time to record for a week or so, I did record two new songs yesterday and one was posted a few minutes ago, I'm Into Something Good. Also I have several other new songs like, "Up From The Ashes" and "I Survived", just a couple of self portraits.

I'm about read to fall asleep. Talk to you all later. God bless you all.

Very cool day here in Carson City today and only a few days into summer. I was thinking the other day how fast this year is moving. Already, here we sit half way through 2019 and a few steps closer to our awaiting blessed hope. I've posted many new songs since we last talked but still my two favorites (at least this week) are, All I Want (Is All That You Are) and my latest, Set My Heart Ablaze.

My heart is moving through a hundred different topics to talk to you about, BUT...All I want to say is, Lord, set my heart ablaze again and all I want is all that YOU are for all of my life.

If you have opportunity give me some feedback of how this songs are touching you. The Lord himself told me that I would touch people all over the world and it's happening.

Hi, Everyone,

Sorry for the long period between newsletters. No excuses except that I've been working almost everyday at my real job. The Lord has given me several new songs almost every week. I have four or five ready to record and several others started. Today, after work, I am resting and listening to many of my songs. I am getting completely inspired by the power of the Lord in these songs. I believe many are being touched spiritually by the words and the melodies. I am learning every day about His word and about life and music. I love recording and mixing the songs. I want them to be perfect for Him and you. I am taking my time and hopefully making each tune better that the next.

My latest album, Jesus, is now on Spotify and soon on iTunes and Amazon and a few others. It can also be streamed on link or link. None that I do is for the money or selling my albums or songs because everything I do is for the glory of God and to His service. Hopefully, soon, (it says here in fine print,) my wife and I will be traveling around the this country and Canada ministering and singing. All of this is in god's hands.

Jan and I have bought a travel trailer to do what God wants us to do in the next few years. We walk by faith and it's in His hands. Pray for us.

Hey Folks,
You all know I wrote this song, "God Only Knows." This is really the theme for my whole life and how he moves. I surely don't know what's going to happen other than my schedule at Walmart or where I'm going to be on Sundays. God is in control and I am finding this out daily. I may have told you this but I work as a customer host at the front door of Walmart in Carson City, Nevada. Not a very big town but a very busy store in our town and surrounding area. I have opportunity to talk to hundreds of people who walk into the store every day. I have also gained many friends who also work at the job I call my real job. To God I am his servant and when I am at work I am on a mission. Just recently one of the employees and my friend had to undergo chemo for her leukemia. She hasn't been able to work for weeks but daily I have had the opportunity to pray for her healing as I stand in front of Walmart in the slow times. Also just the other day, early in the morning about 9Am and a very slow morning another friend told me she had cancer and had to have a semi debilitating surgery in the very near future. I told her I would pray for her when I got home but she asked me to pray for her right then and I did. A day later a little lady in her 80’s spoke to me as she pushed her cart toward the front door of the store that she had cancer and they didn’t think she was going to make it. I told her I would pray for her and she was thrilled.
To sum this all up God Only Knows what people are going through but it’s our job to be available to accomplish what He wants to be accomplished in our days. Be ready for what He wants for you to do because God only knows what tomorrow will bring.
