About David Richardson

Sometime around 1966 at the age of 7, my mother dropped my two older sisters and I at the movies. As that movie hit the screen and the first notes of the guitars pierced the air, all the girls in the theater rushed to the front, pushed up to the screen, clamored for the images they saw and swooned to the music they heard.
That film was The Beatles Help, and though I was too young to have much interest in the girls I was deeply moved by the music, the harmonies, the atmosphere, and the attention those boys were receiving. I knew at that moment that this was what I wanted to do!
Having grown up in the sixties and seventies, and starting on my own musical path in the 1980's, there were many situations and substances that could send a young man into a downward spiral. A lot of people did not make it. By the grace of God, and with a little luck, I did.
Now I write my own songs to tell the stories of my life, my experiences, and my dreams of touching the soul of another the way I was touched.
My name is David Richardson and these are my songs.
