A fusion of genres, creating a trans-genre of Classical, Ambient Electronica – the band that’s “not in a box.” Their music without a genre has Classical, Jazz, Techno, R&B, and World beat elements. Michael was born, in Fort Collins, Colorado – the middle child of two sisters. His passion for music developed at school age, singing and playing piano solos in the rural Southern churches where he was raised. At age 11, he began private instruction in classical piano, continuing through high school, where he also taught himself guitar and Native flute. During the late ’80s and ’90s, he performed with various bands and musicians – genres varying from experimental Hard Rock, Soul/R&B, Alternative Shoegaze, and Latino. For some time after college, Michael continued with Sound Production and Engineering for various bands, venues, and both professional and graduate performing arts programs. After more than a decade sabbatical, Michael R McMahon re-emerges on the music scene in 2008 - with his daughter - as DDPraz Studio: playing keys, engineering sound design, composing, and digital production. Currently the studio focuses on research and reproduction of obscure Baroque scores, transcribing often hand-written scores into modern score engraving; then producing these compositions that have not been performed in hundreds of years.
