New song added to our profile 'The Bonnie Ship The Diamond' ~ so "Cheer up me lads ...." Lead vocal, bodhran and whistle by Terry, Dennis and Teresa in the chorus, and Joe guesting in on fiddle ...

New / Replacement song added to our collection. 'Only 3 at a time' say the powers that be, so 'The Voyage' has gone overboard to make room for a dead fisherman song! Enjoy ~ it has a singalong chorus ....

Although primarily performing 'Sea Songs / Shanties', Dead Reckoning have always given a broad inclusive policy for their material. Hence the inclusion of the Buddy Holly classic 'Not Fade Away' ~ because of it's rhythm we found it segued perfectly from the shanty 'South Australia', a favourite in our live performances. This recording has been overdubbed with drums and accordion, we feel, to great effect by our recording engineer / producer Geoff Simms. It also links to our fondness for the Grateful Dead (hence our name, which also reflects the nautical association) . As well as performing 'Not Fade Away' ~ a 'Dead' favourite, we have also covered Garcia's 'Black Muddy River'. So maybe we'll upload our version of that sometime ....
