Friend of mine have played music for years together. He moved to another state but we stay in loose contact, like most of us, music and laughter, practical jokes go hand in hand. He called and said he was helping a friend shut down his music store. I, being a guitar player/keyboardist (like everyone else here) said sure, Bigfoot had been spotted around here and from what I understand he likes French horn bluegrass music. I received this in the mail. Now I am obligated to learn how to play and find Bigfoot #cantmakethusup #lovegoodpracticaljokes

Random Update: Played with Chase Walker and Gar Cutshaw the other day at an event. Went well, lots of great guitar playing, and laughter.

Playing what I thought Egyptian and Spanish music would sound like, just guessing, but it was fun to try.

Worked on the website tonight. My vision is to share a vision I had. My mission is to give you a southern version of what happened. My values are laughter, good story-telling through the instruments and a permanent smile!

I worked on a few songs tonight, loved the d to d7 walk down and c to c# to d walkups featured in them. For any guitar players out there, reminds me of the first 3 chords of "Something" by the Beatles. Again want to thank all of the great musicians featured on this site. I appreciate you.

You "feel" the song, then you get creative, and then the song fights for its own sound and voice. Usually, don't know if this is this way with most of you, I have a riff and then just starting flowing forward and backwards till something clicks. Then I layer it and go again. I have seen me go into the zone and come out hours later, tired but happy. Content, till I play it back, then doing a little more editing, but too much and let it ride. Bottom line, I love music, even though I don't sing, I hear the words in my head on some of these songs. Thanks for listening, I appreciate that. Dean Russell
