About Deceiving Exhort
Deceiving Exhort is a metal rock band formed in 2008 from Montréal, Québec.
The two founding members, Claude Gagnon and Claude Lemyre both lead guitars and backing vocals, joined forces to write they're first demo.
They were joined by Bassman and backing vocals Stéphane Champoux, drummer Gaétan Mainville and lead singer James McLaughlin.
In 2009 they recorded and produced they're first album called wolves in the sheepfold now available on Itunes and amazon.
They played two shows in spring of 2010 and filmed they're first video (Bad Habit live at the Club Soda in Montréal) available on Youtube.
August 2012 Pascal Sévégny became the new lead singer for Deceiving Exhort and they played at Le National in Montréal in September of 2014 and filmed their second video (Mad City live at Le National in Montréal) available also on Youtube.
In 2014, one of the two founding members Claude Lemyre left the band with Lead singer Pascal Sévégny to be replaced by Leading vocals & Guitar, Stéphane Guillemette.
In 2015, Alexandre Guillemette joins the band on bass to make a father&son duo in Deceiving Exhort.
Deceiving Exhort went to the final of Emergenza festival in Montréal and played Le Métropolis in May 2015 and played Le piranha in 2016 and l'Astral in 2017.
They're presently working on their second album ((expired link)) named Planet Servitude that will be available this fall (2017).
