About Deividas Kontrimas

Deividas Kontrimas - a guitar player, composer, teacher and leader of a jazz group. His musical career has started at the Jazz Department of Klaipeda University. Playing with dozen of artists in plenty of concerts and musical projects he began to shape his own style, technique and vision of music. In 2004 he worked up a modern jazz quartet called “JazzVision”. The main idea of this band was a fusion of many trends of modern music – jazz, rock, R&B, latin, funk, soul etc. Shortly the quartet began a new project with the Chamber Orchestra of Klaipeda. Their latest united work “City of Water” was presented at the Sea Fest’07 in Klaipeda. Working at the children music school as a guitar teacher D. Kontrimas has leaded several youth jazz/rock bands which have successfully participated in many concerts, contests, and festival in Lithuania and abroad. Always diving of new ways to develop he’s in endless search of fresh colors of sound, modern faces of music. (link.)
