About Delanie

Delanie is a singer/songwriter whose style on her first album blends contemporary Christian with a country feel to create both a unique and soul satisfying experience. This album contains songs born Delanie Harrell is a singer/songwriter whose passion for music began in Junior High school where she sang in the choir. In 2000 she discovered her true ministry by using her voice in praise and worship to God. It was very rewarding and helped her to get through the unexpected twists and turns in life. It brought her more joy than she had ever experienced. In 2005 after living through the devastation of Hurricane Katrina, through prayer God gave her the words to “After The Storm,” for which this album is named and the song is featured, and thus began her desire to write songs. In 2006 after the loss of her father, she wrote “You’ll Always Be My Daddy,” as a tribute to his memory. Then in 2012, after the sudden death of her brother-in-law, her sister, his wife, asked her to write a song that would express how much she loved her husband. Her answer to this request resulted in the song “A Gift I’ll Always Treasure.” She is currently an active member in her church where she sings with the praise and worship team, and on occasion she sings solos. In all things she gives God the glory and honors Him by giving thanks for blessing her with both the talent and opportunity to witness to others and share His message.
