About Delayed Sleep Phase Syndrome
My musical sources of inspiration:
The Beatles, King Crimson, Yes, Genesis, Pink Floyd, Peter Gabriel, Daniel Lanois, Wilco, Radiohead, Bon Iver, Sufjan Stevens, The Smile (and a whole bunch of other contemporary artists, there is so much good new music out there)
My first musical memory is from the age of 4 when my dad played some vinyl records with Grieg and Tchaikovsky.
There was a melancholy tone in their music that fascinated me directly.
My mom and dad were very involved in the church. Singing and playing music was always a natural element. I think the foundation of my musical interest was born there.
At the age of 10 I started practicing on my mom and dad's Philicorda organ and did my first home recordings with two cassette recorders (I wish I still had these)
Then at the age of 11 I picked up the guitar for the first time, it has been my best friend ever since.
I have played in several different constellations and bands over the years, but without really making it work fully musically.
Then in 2007, after a break of 5-10 years from all attempts to play with a rock band I fell in love with Cubase 5. It was around that time that I came up with the idea to start up this solo project, DSPS.
Now It feels as if I have finally found my own sound, I dare to trust my own ability and I'm more comfortable with the sound of my singing voice today (it took a while to get there).
Thank you everyone for your interest and commitment
Take care
