This has a nice chill out groove. The guitar work is effective but, I think, the bass guitar should be brought forward more as it is a little bit too subtle. I think it would 'fill in' the track.

Good Morning! First off thanks for submitting this song for review. I know it can be an uncomfortable thing. I think the song overall is solid in its concept. The lyrical content is pretty good. I like the imagery that exists in the song itself. There is a synth or guitar sound that is present, and while it fits the song itself, its in the same frequency spectrum as the vocal, and makes it hard to clearly hear the vocal. I think the issue may be that it is too up front in the mix. I would throw some reverb on it to place it farther back in the mix. It may also be a good idea to pan it off center so that its not occupying the same space as the vocal. The vocal itself is good but it gets buried in the mix with everything else. I like to think that no matter my comfort level with the vocal the most important thing is that it is prevalent. Otherwise it won't convey the music properly. You're a great vocalist, but when the vocal line is buried in the mix it doesn't stick out like its supposed to. To be honest, this was something I had to get more comfortable with. I don't know if this is an issue for you, but I've worked with a lot of vocalists and we all seem to want our vocals to be there, but not to be as prominent as they need to be. I'm not saying that this is an issue you have, I would just understand if you did. I would get another set of ears on the mix. Aside from that the composition itself is great. Very Well written....A great story to sing about. A ballad type track. When the changes take places in the song, Use a sax,a horn would really let us know you are going in to change the story. Nice voice , i think this is a hit ,not much to change or do. GOOD STUFF

I could like this song . Or let me put it this way. You g it is have the voices, even have the right subject, and old school favor. My problem with this song is that to me it really doesn't flow correctly. The arrangement is off. Off so much you might think the singers aren't talented. It's hard to truly tell you all that's missing without totally rearranging it for you. Listen to your song, hear your song. Do you studded when you talk? Flow with your lyrics the same way. Mind you, lyrics are good! Arrangement of key points is what I'm saying. This could really be a very strong song. Thanks Magic

This is a really easy groove to listen to. The hook is not dynamic, but is catchy enough to have a listener repeat it, inadvertently. I expected the lyric to exceed my expectation, yet found it predictable. Very good groove.

Nice song, I liked the background intro it was a little different style to have the mixed vocal background hook lean the song out. Hadn't heard that in a long time! The lyric were very nice, good story line from beginning to the end. They flowed very well with the music, nice levels as well. Lead vocals were nice and brought the song together nicely. I really don't know what I'd change about this song, don't know if we will ever hear it on the radio because the platform has changed so much. Maybe at the midnight love hour on some station. Very easy groove to listen to... This cut has all the elements of those old school R&B factions that we all know and love... Dig the interpretive vocals ( watch pitch/ especially on the background vocal layers) That said, I will take emotion over pitch any day, but improvements are how we grow as Artists... Nice Job ! I really enjoyed this song. I think what got me most was the chorus and the dramatic ending of it. After the rain gives an assurance that whatever went on during your storm, Delon will still be there . I liked the delivery of the song by Delon White. This song has a very nice old school vibe and flavor. More than that, I'm sure the listener can put themselves in his voice. A man who wants to be assuring to his lady, and a lady that needs assurance from her man. Assurance and Sincerity are the big draws to this song.

As mentioned above in the title, you have a lovely soulful voice, I enjoyed listening to the music. I think your lyrics are really good and meaningful, I wish i could write like that, I think the title is very fitting to the lyrics, well done.
