About DENIZE LORETO
Inspired by rhythms, songs and afro-brazilian legends, the music developed by Denize Loreto (Brasil) and the arranger Pascal-Edouard Morrow (French-canadian), travels arround a rich and cultural diversity from a interbreeding Brazil. A crossroad between Europa, Africa and from Brazil native Indians .
The repertoire includes sacred songs, old slave music (resistance and working songs), popular songs remaining human relation with nature elements, and poetic songs refering to inconditional love.
These songs were originaly accompained only by percussions. The add of violin and cello is an original creation which purpose is to give a new look on this music, giving it universality.
Percussion symbolise the Earth, strings by their counterpoints symbolise the Sky and the voice symbolise human being. The bond between all, gives to music a spiritual breathing.
